FJC's came with 16 and 17" rims. I doubt you could get a 15 to work even with spacers.

I don't know about that. The FJC rotors are smaller than the 80 and the 80 is close to fitting 15's as far as I understand it. The reason I used FJC rotors is so I could run 15's. I'll try to measure it and post a picture.

FJC rotor measures ~12-1/4 or 310mm (compared to 335mm for 80 series)

The OD of an 80 series rear caliper on a FJC rotor is ~ 14-1/8"
So if your wheel will fit over that then you should be able to run it on a FJC/80 caliper combo. FJC uses the same rear pads as the 80 so the caliper may be similar as well.
My experience anyway.

Don't mind the spacers, they put the stock HMMWV wheels back to zero offset. If I ran 60 series wheels (my other set) they are zero offset and I'd have to remove the spacers.

You're right. 15" fit the FJC rear with no issues. Sol and a few of the other SAC'd FJCs have ran without issue.

Won't fit the front, which is irrelevant here. Some 16s won't fit, for that matter.

It's been three years since I've seen the bottom of the bone pile, but may have rotors and calipers for mine buried within. Not digging unless someone is serious about needing, and no guarantees they're there, but would check.

If this is deemed viable, can put the word out I'm looking for them. Have turned down many opportunities for free, hub to hub rear axles, so they're out there for the picking.

Next "build" of mine with a split case or any other is getting a FF with integrated ebrake. Figured doing one with the split case brake pays enough homage to the Toyota deities, so the Pork Chop won't adhere to any self inflicted, pignorant restrictions.

Had a "doh!" moment, thinking about it, the front brake rotor's OD is probably what drives the minimum wheel size. Traditionally the rear rotor is smaller in OD that the front (though there are some exceptions). So while a 15" probably won't fit on the front w/o some 6" wheel spacers, I can see where it could on the rear.

what the take on this setup...for people who trail ride and off-road a lot..... where the parking brake really matters? Where mud and crap get everywhere and where you got problems on steep slopes if the parking brake does not hold.

Out of curiosity, why not use the FJC calipers, since ebrake provisions are afforded by?

Semi float axle, so I'm assuming a bolt on affair. I know a couple of guys that have adapted to FF housings, be it D60s or customs, since it's a halfway decent set up.

FJC E-Brake

The caliper is just a caliper, no provision for ebrake.

The ebrake on 4runr/80/100 is a small drum inside the rotor hat.

I was thinking based on your comment there was a truck/cruiser sized caliper w/ decent built-in p-brake, like on Mk1 supra. No such luck...:frown:

We installed one of those kits on a buddy's FJ62 not too long ago. The bracket can be used in any orientation on the transfer case. It does not have to be that low. When we installed the e-brake setup, we clocked it as such:

Bringing this one back from the dead; do you remember if he had any degree of body lift to accommodate that setup? I run a 1", but TSM recommends at least a 2" to have it mounted up like this. I have no desire to add another inch so I was curious if you managed to fit it with less than 2".

I'm going to have to figure something out because it's getting REALLY old not having a parking brake with the H55F and it's going to be quite a good while I suspect before I can realistically swap in an FZJ80 rear end.

We have replaced the 40 rear axle withe a 60 series one. The diffs are interchangeable so use what matches the front. You will need to fab up a way to get the 60 series cables to work with the 40 series parking brake lever. I have done 2 of these so far.

10 years ago man, I have no idea.

It was a shot in the dark but I figured I'd try

I may go ahead and order it when I can drop the cash, and if it just can't fit mounted high on my tcase, I'll modify the bracket like Chris did earlier in this thread to tuck it up tight and mount it low.
