Wow that sucks. Can't imagine that's right. 22 mph and only 32 watts? That's weak.

Yeah, not trying to :poop: on your idea, just be sure to do some testing before you get out somewhere and are relying on it. Hopefully, the unit you bought will be much better!

Thankfully I'll not be relying on it too much. Some solar, some wind, should last me a 3 day weekend. Longer than that, I'll bring a generator, or plug in and charge up with the truck like Rice suggested.

And then

*POOF*

We have a couple different friends that caught the "camper" bug several years. One went the complete gambit from small tow behind to brand new Chevy diesel dually and 32' goose neck with massive pull outs. The other just bought trailer number two, 30' and are now thinking new tow rig. My father and step mother started out with a small trailer and 30 years later had a beautiful motor home pulling an enclosed trailer including golf cart. Sold their house in NJ and went full time on the road.

You are just getting your addiction warmed up James :)

I hear you, but I did it in the opposite order. I sold my 31 foot class C RV with slideouts to downsize.

So the airstream basecamp is $40k. That airstream nest above starts at $30k....

Mine was less..

I wish mine would hurry up and be done. so i can start fillin it up with all my crap

Took another shakedown run with the trailer and took the wife with me. Performed well. Hot water heater appears to be defective. I'm a little pissed seeing how fiddly it is to install.

Awning and enclosure continue to perform well. We'll be cutting and customizing the part that connects to the trailer to get a little better seal for heat/air as well as bugs.

Did a few more minor things here and there:

Aluminum trim on the countertop

New industrial rubber mat for the main area. The carpet was annoyingly grabbing rocks/dirt every time we came in and out.

Cabinetry is next on the list.

@jamesurq - What is the size of your camper enclosed trailer? 5x10?

That interior matches Jasons candy van. would make for two homes down by the river or the lake...

That is really nice for the money

I think they overdid the interior and cheaped out on things they shouldn't have. IE: tongue box is a Home Depot $9 plastic storage box....
