I have a cordless drill and small impact driver. If anyone has either of those, it probably wouldn't hurt to have an additional drill and impact driver on site. *the only chargers I have are Makita.

I only took one pic today, but a lot of work got done! Shelves aren't done but are close, solar panel is mounted and done but not wired. Had a blast, thanks for hosting Ryan!

Thanks to everyone that made it out. My pleasure hosting you guys. I appreciate all the help.

@Huevo450 dadoed and fashioned some shelve lips which both, keep things from sliding off the shelves and add some reinforcement. They came out really great.

@Hokie LX donated some interior and exterior LED lights.

@GLTHFJ60 donated a solar panel and will be finishing all the wiring in the next few weeks.

@GLTHFJ60 and I knocked out the core wiring today. We wired in the solar panel and controller and the PA system as well as mounted all of the components. We did not get to the interior and rear lights but I will see if I can get to those this week before the Christmas Party. We also mounted the battery in place.

Solar panel is working flawlessly and battery showing 13.8V.

I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Trailer battery should always be charged now! Nice work Chris!

Just finished wiring up the lights. 2 light pods out back and 4 interior lights. The interior lights are individually switchable on the lights themselves so you can have 1, 2, 3, or 4 lights on. Wiring is all sheathed and tucked. Just need to clean out my stuff and trailer will be good to go!

I am not savvy with off-grid power setups, so forgive me if I'm speaking out of turn here. Given the recent cold weather battery failure and fire inside the Moonshine Motel, are there any precautions that should be taken with the club trailer to ensure it does not burn down? I see there's a fire extinguisher handy. Would a fireproof battery box be something worthwhile to do, or is the trailer setup simple enough that an electrical fire is not something to be worried about? Just thinking out loud.

Uh no, it's set up to burn down as soon as it gets to @neslrac 's house.

serious reply:

I almost feel like you're saying that because I had my hand in this too, so thanks for that Dave. The club trailer uses an AGM (absorbed glass mat) battery, pictured above. There is no inverter. There is the same amount of risk of the club trailer burning down as with any of you running AGMs in your trucks with fuse blocks. Very safe.

My motel uses LFP batteries, very different. Feel free to read up on the differences.

Thanks, Johnny!

Johnny, Don't try to hear me saying something that I'm not. It was just a simple safety question and not meant to point fingers at you or anybody else. I would trust your work over anybody I know, and I mean that. Like I said, I'm not savvy with off-grid power setups, and I know the club trailer sits idle and for months at a time in all types of weather conditions. I read your post about the battery in the Motel failing due to cold weather, lack of regular monitoring, etc. That's the only reason I asked, and I apologize if you took it to mean something more than that.
