Yah they seemed to work fine on side hills and such. Only a couple of times did I feel like it was going to roll. I am going to get a swaybar hooked up, as I am hoping to help make it a little more stable.

It was kind of a rough ride around the trails, and I think I can get away with a little softer spring rate. I am going to try to run again before too long, but it might be a month before I am ready to hit the trail again.

I would recommend adding some oil to your shocks and trying that first. If you already have the sway bars, go ahead and put them in. A good sway bar system will not make your handling worse, and it can only help.

In these days (tought I don't have muche time...) I'm putting on the rear antirock bar; in a couple of weeks I'll try again the car in offroad driving, I'll try to add some oil before that.
Thank you again for your suggestion, I'll let you know!!!

Looks like you put the expanded metal radiator guard thingy on the wrong side. :D

Very sweet build. It made me start looking for a 40 hood to put on my mini truck.

Those are a couple of fantastic pics! Great lighting! Bummer to hear about the damage and hope it gets back up soon.

I remember reading somewhere that this has a mini-truck drivetrain in it. Did you put the drivetrain in the 40 frame or the 40 body on a mini-truck frame?

If you put the body on a mini-truck frame, do you have any details about how that went the first time around?

Thanks

I purchases a 69' FJ40 Tub and Frame and installed the Mini Truck driveline into that.

There is a thread on POR about this. They don't come out pretty at all and you have move the motor regardless. It would be easier IMHO to put all your parts into an FJ then rework a mini truck frame to work under a FJ body.

Ok, here are some updates...

I thrashed those cheap ass crappy hood pins, so I upraded to these really nice ones:

I was having some cooling issues, so I got rid of the hoop (I did not really care for it as it was) and replaced my Intergraded solinod winch with an M8000.

Disregard the auxillary cooler just hanging around in the grille. I am going to replace it with a HD version. That one is prety messed up from all the crap that happened in Windrock with my radiator. Should cool much better now as well :)

Great work! Makes me wish I had more time and money.

It appears you have the stock single diaphragm brake booster? Any problems running the 4 wheel disc brakes?
