Awesome, thanks! Won't do me any good now but at least if it's true people will know and avoid my conundrum.

I honestly didn't even think the brake booster came pre-filled with brake fluid. I did see the note but assumed it just meant it included the reservoir or something.
Valdosta Toyota got back to me and they said they won't ship the brake boosters either "due to how sensitive the sensors are"
It looks like Serra might be the only one.

When this string of Southeast Toyota Dealerships, started these supper sales. I was very disappointed. Cancelation, due to claims of backorder! BS!

Then I found Eric at Serra Toyota of Decatur. Not only did I get additional savings. I was able to buy parts, other Dealerships wouldn't ship/sale. Why wouldn't they: They're the parts, that almost always get damaged in shipping, if not repackaged.

No matter how good a deal is or how fast it arrives. If parts arrived damaged. That means hassle, wasted time, delays and likely having to buy local anyway.

If you want parts that 99.9% arrive undamaged and those parts 9 out of 10 won't sale. Eric is the best in the world.

Only the explosives (air bag, seat belt) and fluids, require special handling. I don't think most here, can order those anywhere, to be shipped.

If you need parts today. Do as I do. I go to my nearest Toyota Dealership and pick them up. In fact, I’ve use same parts guy for 25 years now. Relationship matter.

Thanks for the heads up. I’d hate to see someone order a brake booster thinking they’re getting a good deal and then find out they can’t have it shipped and it has to be picked up from halfway across the country and then the sale ends.

Yet here we are, slamming our trucks into rocks and over boulders, hundreds of thousands of miles of vibrations, with these sensors bolted to the chassis. Bunch of jokers at Valdosta.

I threw in an order than includes a brake booster for a 2003 4runner (very similar to ours) at World Toyota (also honoring the sale). They've accepted it thus far...

Recommend calling to confirm. Unless that’s your local dealer and you’re picking up.

Plot twist: I picked up the brake booster today and it did not come with any fluid... Unless there is some in the metallic cylinder?

Having bought one in the past for my 98 - It didn't come with any fluid

How much did the booster cost you shipped? I have the same thing on our 2003 4Runner, my local dealer won't budge they can only give me cost plus 15%.

Yeah I took advantage of these sales multiple times and used Serra several times. Had Eric on the phone a few times and email, he’s great!

$1015-ish out the door.

That is a good deal, I have to wait for now I have to get the 100 running first.

I've always found the best prices to be from Lithia Toyota (at least for me on the West Coast)

I've bought several axles from them over the years and haven't found better prices anywhere.

I don't think Lithia is a TPCO dealership. Valdosta and Serra have the best prices. Valdosta dealer discount is 31% and Serra is 30%. A radiator for a 2000 LC 16400-49356. Out the door from Valdosta is $226.74, Serra is $230.68. Best I could get from Lithia is $354.92. Plus, if you live in CA and are ordering from a CA dealership, you will have to pay sales tax and then Gavin Newsom will use that money to eat at French Laundry. If you order from a dealership outside of your home state, you can avoid paying sales tax.

I’m confused. Valdosta has that part at $302. Did I miss a promo code somewhere?

Those buying brake booster w/master assy (the whole master):
They come with a few oz of brake fluid. The outside of box clearly reads "This side UP". But unfortunately the carriers don't read or understand the universal this side up or fragile symbols or words. They, toss and roll the boxes.

Two things happen:
1) Sometimes they damage the plastic of ABS unit (black box on side), accumulator cage, hard line hangers, etc. The repacking that Serrie Toyota will protect, 99% of time.
2) When box are not kept, right side up. Fluid may seep out the reservoir cap. We need to unpack, remove Master from plastic bag and clean up an dry. Making sure to check under brake booster control wire boots, for moisture (brake fluid).

The only Dealership, I found, that will repack the Toyota box is Serra Toyota. Most will not even ship, due to damage returns.

FWIW, if anybody is taking advantage of the sale to buy a new brake booster, the dealers wont ship them when they arrive so it has to be picked up... Which was not convenient for me because I ordered from a dealer a state away because their price was a tad better. Reason being because the brake booster comes with fluid and either they or FEDEX / UPS won't ship hazardous chemicals?

I ended up having to cancel that order and purchase from a more local dealer which cost me a few extra bucks but apparently according to them it should be ready for pick up tomorrow so i'm still happy.
Got my new booster assembly delivered and installed about a month ago, got it last sale, shipped from Serra Decatur.

The inside of the reservoir is wet with fluid, I guess to keep seals wet in storage, or from testing. Since all ports have plugs, the only way it can drip is if upside down for a while, and maybe a few drops here or there..

I also ordered fluid from them at the same time, all shipped within a couple weeks, everything arrived perfectly safe. Excellent packing effort from them.
