I have a BT OBDII adapter and have used Torque Pro a fair bit in the past, but just got it set up for the Cruiser. I'm curious what useful gauges you guys have been using (and what ranges for the values). Currently I have GPS Speed (my speedometer is ~10% slow), Coolant Temperature (-20 to 400 F), and Transmission Temperature (0 to 350 F).

What do you run?

I have Torque pro as well but only use it when necessary and checking for codes and such. Mine is a 2000 as well which i think doesn't give us that may more things to look out for. I think there is MAF sensor and vacuum that you can monitor but i dont know what to make of them.

In addition to the above, I also watch the MAF sensor values.

The MAF sensor gave me stalling and misfiring issues when I first bought my cruiser, so I keep an eye on it for erroneous readings.

I run just a few things trans, coolant, the compass. No need to have anything else. Mainly use the app when I tow or go off-roading not daily. I don’t know the pid for oil pressure.

The original pid codes didn’t work for my 2005 lx. There’s a formula on how to make a pid code. A lot of time and trail & error to make it work or you can google what’s currently out there. I don’t know of a current directory of codes. There’s also a way to convert scan gauge codes to pid for torque pro. There was a post of another ob2 app that provides a directory of pid at an additional cost.

I run Torque at least once a day. Ran it to lunch today, hence the low coolant temperature. I also monitor the fuel trims. Transmission temperature worked right out of the 'box' for my 99

Which voltage and intake temperature option are you using?
Why all the fuel trim monitoring?

Voltage @ the OBD port. I do not recall another intake temperature option, but it has been a couple of years.

Short Term, Long Term and plain fuel trim, for both engine banks. I like to watch fuel trims because you can pinpoint lazy O2 sensors, which bank a failing coil is on and if the injectors are having issues. This isn't a screen I regularly monitor.

OBDLink LX. Price seems to have gone up over the past few years. I just leave it plugged into the Cruiser's OBD port so I can quickly use Torque whenever I'd like.

Pretty happy with this setup for the main page

The speed gauge is GPS speed (speedo is 10% slow due to bigger tires)

So where (subfolder) do you save or store the dashboard for Torque Pro to see or recognize it when you select import?

Edit - Never mind, found it!

Thanks for the video Bamabrock. I think I will pick up a cheap android tablet. Any suggestions?

Also what are folks using for their Bluetooth obd reader?

I've been using my OBDII dongle as a code reader for a couple years now but I have never used it for reading live data. The reason for this is I don't know what healthy values look like so the data doesn't mean anything to me. Can anyone offer any input on what heathy values are for the more common parameters?
