So, just to clarify you're using the CSV file uploaded to Torque Pro and Lifestyle's custom dashboard layout.

I see you have both a 2004 and 2000 100 series - did it work with both or just the 2004?

I'm wondering that since I've got a 1999 that's why I can't get it to work.
Yes. I used lifestyle's CSV file. The 2000 is my previous truck. I used it a bit, but I mainly get gaia running on the tablet and haven't fooled with it since going to CO for HIH this past summer. I'll tinker with it before my next trip.

Ok, been trying out a couple formulas to try and get Torque Pro to display transmission temp.
I updated the reader to an OBDLink MX+ (bluetooth) vs. the OBDLink Wifi which I used previously.
I also changed the formula to ((((E*256)+F) * (7/100) – 400)/10) for the pan and ((((G*256)+H) * (7/100) – 400)/10) for the pan mentioned in this post.
Below are the screenshots of Torque Pro using Lifestyle's CSV file.

Here are the Torque Scan results which shows transmission temps - so I'll go back and try the defaults that were in Lifestyle's CSV.

Just pointing this out since it shows Method 2 works while Method 1 does not.

Don't know what that means yet though.

I have never been able to get the trans temp to work on either my 2000 or 2014 LC.

In TechStream, I've seen two Transmission Temps in 06-07. Not sure how long before, but TS only displays one TT.

Thanks Paul for the heads up.

Looking at the Torque Scan results suggests that at least one TT is available.

So I'll play w/ the formulas and PIDs to see if I can find the right one.

I'll also compare with the default screen layouts and no custom PIDs (Lifestyle csv file) to see if a vanilla Torque setup makes it appear.

Just thought I'd share the results here for those interested.

Following w great interest, especially w/r to coolant temp.

You should be able to get coolant temps.

Check out the screen shots above.

And just for the sake of reference, here is the post (5th Gen Extended PIDs for Torque App) I keep referring to as the Lifestyle csv file containing the PIDs.

Reports are that many of these PIDs are consistent across Toyota vehicles but not necessarily across MYs.

@SmoothLC can you save your layout settings and share them on here? I would like to setup something similar without having to reinvent the wheel. Appreciate it if you can.

Yes, I need to update this thread anyway with my findings.
Sad to say they haven't been positive for my '99.
I'll download them off my tablet later tonight/tomorrow.

I modified it earlier this year to use one of @BenCC's mounts - the Make 6 V.6 change holder mount.

I still have the windshield mount but decided I like the tablet a little closer and down in the dash so it gets some A/C on it.

Having the tablet on the dash in the summer it got real hot. HTH.

Bringing this thread into the new year! How did @SmoothLC get the roll meter and pitch meter? Do they work? Was it from lifestyle csv download? Thx!

Does anyone have this and a scangauge? From what I see the provide similar info, but its hard to tell.

AFAIK it is essentially the same thing between Scangauge and Torque pro. Torque does have one advantage. Its that you can display and see more than 2 pids on a bigger screen. In fact Torque pro can see several pid's on one screen. So i prefer Torque pro.

BTW here's the link to my Torque Pro dashboard profile. Download it and put in your "/.torque/dashboard" directory.

Thanks! My assumption was that if scangauge can get it, torque pro must as well. I like the interface also. Looks like it might be somewhat of a pain to use on an android auto headunit, but seems pretty simple on a tablet.

I couldn't get all of Lifestyle's layout to work. The roll and pitch meter is device specific, so it depends on how you have the device mounted. I'll give @BnvS's dashboard a try. Although I attempted to track down all the codes/PIDs and equations, I could never get a few gauges to work.

Ahhh so it doesn't actually communicate with the ECU to get the pitch and roll data? It's just using the devices specific gyro's then it seems.
