OK, making some head way, had to cease and desist yesterday, grand kids came by and I had to put it all up while they were here, if I was smart I would do this in my basement and wouldn't have to worry about it, or put the grand kids in hte basement hmmmmm:hmm:

Did some work today and got one of the first large rolls done,

I need to put in a disclaimer, I am not a professional sewer or canvas guy, I am learning as I go, so please don't think these are professionally done, although I have done the best I can, and using the correct equipment, and I am getting better has I go.....and as i get better the prices may go up, but not for this batch:cheers:

I worked on the Contents List window for the Large roll, this was a tough one, I had to figure out a way to get my angles and keep the plastic from moving around as I sewed. I used some lighter weight canvas I had from before, cut it to 1" strips and then folded and ironed them to be the boarder.

I sewed a 45 degree angle for the corners and cut off the excess

I experimented with using staples, pins and super glue to keep the boarder from shifting as I sewed, super glue actually worked the best-only needed a few drops to do the trick.

BTW the best place I have found was sailrite for the basting tape ... They have two sizes ... Their canvas basting tape is better and is the one you want

Even with the double up on the canvas for the window and vinyl and basting tape your machine should have no problem with it

I had got cheap stuff of Amazon and it gums up the needle... Get the better sailrite stuff

It will be much easier with basting tape... It's very easy to use and cheap
You are right, I would have to find some, for this batch I will just make it, thanks for the tip

I must have a large, with logo.....:grinpimp:

I need a place to put my grease gun.

So basting tape is basically double sided tape, which would hold the vinyl to the canvas- that would be much easier, thanks

Just ordered a roll

Kinda like it ... But... Double sided tape gums up the needle... Bad ... This stuff not ... And the needle cleans it off easily if I over do the basting and some does ... But it's rare

It also holds canvas to canvas... And bias too

It makes sewing pockets very easy...

Double sided tape was a mistake that I will not do again LOL

I'm glad I got in on this! These turned out really cool!

Sneak preview of the Med Roll inside, turned out pretty nice. Still have to put the strap in it, much more usable for generic and Toyota tools, I will post another pic of the outside once I have the strap on it

I was able to get two large rolls done, and one med. I will continue to work on them this week-the wife wants her kitchen back.

Here is another pick of the Logo

The first ones going out will be to
-Rigger 1 Large with Logo and 1 Med.
-Uzgaspowered 1 Large with Logo

I have to package them up to get shipping cost after I do the first one I will let everyone know totals, also doing a price adjustment on Med rolls, they were much easier so they will go for $50 (which will start on this batch), and after this batch the Large roll will be $85-Large rolls are much harder.

I have one more Large roll left for this batch and two med rolls.
