I went from a pretty well built 60 to a SUA 40 and the differences are immense. Here in the northeast the 40 is SO much easier to weave through tight trails but the 60 on 38s made for a solid rock crawler.

When that 80 got back to Colorado and they pulled it to check, it was in spec, so not bad for a that feels right picnic bench build..
Last year it was replacing a long side front axle shaft in the dirt.. double winching an Fj40 with a snapped pinion down a slab, then getting it drug back to loon..
So, No broken stuff this year!!!!! Front locker only when needed and easy on the damage pedal…smooth is the word of the week…
I don’t want to camp smelling like gear oil again, there is never enough brakecleen and hand cleaner to get that stuff off…
Nice tow setup, 3/4 ton suburbans are a great tow pig,
10mpg on the street, 9 towing!
big blocks, loaded, empty doesn’t matter, on mileage, they will run 3k rpm loaded hard for days on end, best tow pig I have had was a 454-nv4500 combo, quiet smooth, reliable and pulled great,
