Should have said it was 116/113RI’m sorry if I missed it, but could I please have a recommendation for tire pressure for 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT/W4 on a C load range. Shop put them at 42. Thank you. LX570 2013
The only thing in this case that matters is that’s it’s an LT285/70R17. 35 PSI is the book recommendation.Should have said it was 116/113R
Pretty sure that’s the OEM specified size for an LC, so you can just use your RCTIP placard in the door jam. Not sure if OEM is the P metric or ISO metric in that size.I searched for a pressure recommendation for BFG Trail Terrain 285/60/R18 on an '18 LC and couldn't find one having been posted.
The shop set them at 40 front and 38 rear, which doesn't seem right.
Could you please tell me what the recommended cold tire inflation pressure is?
@gaijin what ya thinking for this tire?

My Math is saying 40-42 RCTIP
Yay or nay?
Thank you sir
The RCTIP (Recommended Cold* Tire Pressure) for that LT275/70R18 125/122S E RWL tire on your LC200 is 41psi F/R

*According to Toyota:
Tire Pressure vs. Tire Temperature
Tire temperature is dependent on “cold” tire pressure, driving distance and speed, ambient temperature and road surface temperature. As the temperature of the tire changes, air in the tire expands and contracts, changing the tire’s air pressure. The cold tire pressure for all Toyota models will vary and will need to be adjusted accordingly.
“Cold” tire pressure, as shown on the tire pressure label on our vehicles, is generally considered to be the pressure in a tire that has not been driven in the past 4 hours and has been parked outdoors.
Could you please tell me what the recommended cold tire inflation pressure is?

@gaijin looking at these tires. Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 285/65R18 116T XL BSW. The Toyo tables do not have this size listed, do yours? Thanks in advance!
Gracias
Hmmm, my copy (Toyo) has this on pg. 36 preceding 37. Reinforced Load Inflation Table WARNING! Only use for ISO Metric (ETRTO) sizes. DO NOT use this table for P-Metric sizes. I thought I had the latest but guess not.The Toyo tables (actually an extract published by Toyo of the TRA (Tire and Rim Association) tables) have the info in the "Reinforced Load Inflation Table" on page 37. Follow the 116 Load Index over until you get to the first inflation pressure >2512 lbs - you will find 38psi as the RCTIP.

What's your experiences been with these tires and @ what pressure?
Have same spec/size. The shop set mine to door jamb cold on install (33 IIRC), I bumped it up to 37 which feels good. I will go up to recommended to see the difference, but curious if you have any feedback on different numbers. 42 sounds harsh already.
Thanks!

Thanks for the assistance!
Yeah, I stepped in it didn't I?Your tires are not P-Metric, they are ISO-Metric.
FYI, here is a link to the latest extant tables published by Toyo: Guidelines for the Application of Load and Inflation Tables
