@gaijin what would the RCTIP be for Nokian Outpost nA/T 285/70R17 116T on a 2013 LC?

The RCTIP (Recommended Cold* Tire Inflation Pressure) for those Standard Load ISO-Metric 285/70R17 116T tires on your LC200 is 33psi F/R.

*According to Toyota:

Tire Pressure vs. Tire Temperature

Tire temperature is dependent on “cold” tire pressure, driving distance and speed, ambient temperature and road surface temperature. As the temperature of the tire changes, air in the tire expands and contracts, changing the tire’s air pressure. The cold tire pressure for all Toyota models will vary and will need to be adjusted accordingly.

“Cold” tire pressure, as shown on the tire pressure label on our vehicles, is generally considered to be the pressure in a tire that has not been driven in the past 4 hours and has been parked outdoors.

What is the LC200 RCTIP for:

Falken
Wildpeak A/T4W
LT285 /70 R18 117S C1 BSW

Many thanks!

The RCTIP for those LT285/70R18 tires on your LC200 is 38psi F/R

Hello @gaijin, is the RCTIP for LT285/70R17 “E” load range 126/123S BFG KO3’s 42 psi like the KO2’s before them or has it changed? These tires are on a VDJ79, mounted on dynamic wheels. Thanks in advance!

Can you post a pic of the TIP (Tire Information Placard) on your VDJ79 which shows stock tire size and pressure?

TIA

Yessir. Please find attached. If it’s difficult to read the faded print, OEM tire was a 225/95R16C 118/116S. CTIPR Front 36psi, Rear 44psi. My spec was the poverty pack spec from the GCC.

I have to admit I'm a little out of my depth with this one, but...

Let's start with some basics:

All LT285/70R17 tires will have the same RCTIP - makes no difference what Load Range they are, or which tire model, or even which tire manufacturer. So, an LT285/70R17 KO3 is going to have the same RCTIP as an LT285/70R17 KO2.

Based on the GVWR of your VDJ79, which is just a little less than the GVWR of an LC200 (3345 Kg), I feel safe in recommending the same RCTIP for your VDJ79 as for the LC200 - 40psi F/R. This should handle all loads up to the GVWR of your vehicle.

Thank you sir. That’s good info. I figured they would be the same, but you’re the guru.

Aside from all that, thank you for your service. My Dad was USN around the same time as you.
