Well we just bought my wife a 1997 FZJ-80 w/ factory lockers.... everything but rear air. Inlcuded was a arb bumper, and brand new 295/75/r16 BFG AT. Here are some pics. Now we have his and her's!

thanks

sweet looking truck......how many miles? good purchase price?

They want $15,000, but my buddy works for the dealer, so we got it for $500 more than what they had into it. $11,500, plus they just replaced plugs, wires, cap, flushed radiator, oil filter, changed oil, air filter, fuel filter, and I made them replace all of the belts. It has 160.000 on it but is purrs like a kitten, plus it's a toyota!! I really like the 4.5 liter...sounds like my moms Pfaff sewing machine!!! It is really been well kept.

It is a 1 owner car, that was owned by a fellow cruiserhead. I guess it was his 2nd cruiser, and he traded it in on an '01. I will have to take some more pics later.

You've started 2 threads. I think you can delete the other.

Rear air was not available as an option in the US market. Nice color. :D

Welcome, you need to get an OME lift and sliders on it so you can "Borrow it"

Awesome! let the addiction grow and consume you both! :)

Is the suspension stock or does it have the OME low lift suspension? ----- Awsome truck, you may have just shown me the way to go with mine.

I have a hard time believing that this is REALLY for your wife, but whatever it takes to get her to pass off on the idea. :D

How do you think I got mine to let me keep the 4Runner after I got the 80?

Me: "But honey, the 4runner holds so much more than the Subaru, and think how much safer it will be for the kids."

My wife: "Well..... you do have a point..."

Me: Smiles, cracks a beer then goes to put 'For sale' sign on Subaru.

:flipoff2:

It's what she wanted!!!!:grinpimp: I still have my 40, which I will never sell! We just got back from a trip up around Mt. Rainier national park with the new 80. She drives so nice! But I think the tires are alittle too big. My buddy might trade me and I would get a set of 285/70/r16 instead of the 295/75/r16. Other than that it was an awesome first trip.

great looking truck, a buddy of mine has that same two-tone color. Is that an anniversary edition?

Also, why the differential switch? My '97 doesn't have that.

Congrats.

Nice, its always great when the truck already comes with an ARB. Thats how mine came as well. Also good to see another Pennisula cruiser.

That switch is for the optional lockers (front/rear locking diffs), you don't have them.

Ryan,

Nice rig! I'm not saying I don't beleive you about it being her rig or anything, but that's like buying her a new lawn mower.

Just know that for the most part they are smarter than us.

I see a new baby, new house, diamond ring, cruise, major shopping spree, or some such thing in your near future....

Good Luck!

Go Cowboys!
