U build deers? :) do u get discounts on zero turn mowers?

Spent the last 3 years at BBY- I run all support teams, delivery, warehouse, asset protection and admin. Though the huz and I have been toying around with the idea architectural salvage.

Full time motorsports engineering student for the time being.

I make stay at home moms ecstatic by getting their neglected rugs nice and wet.

OK I'll bite. I have been chasing the dream of being self employed most of my life.

It started when I was 12, mowing 10 lawns a week. My first lesson came when I wore out the family mower and Mom handed me the bill for the new one. I uped it to a self propelled model.

After going to school for auto mechanics and body work, I became a carpenter and ended up being a general contractor for 20 some years in the Philadelphis,PA and Key West, FL areas.

I designed and built RC helicopter equiptment for a few years.

While in KW I started designing houses and light commercial (basically an architect without a license, had a structural engineer review and stamp my plans) did that until the crash in 08

People had been bugging me to build them bumpers, sliders, cages etc and The TOY Outfitters/Hardline Fabrication Services was born. A guy has to eat ya know. Now I am drifting side ways and shoehorning GM motors into Land Cruisers, my automotive training is finally not just a hobby.

Is doing all the heavy lifting related to my wife's 8 horses a job? It sure don't pay.

I run a company that supplies instruments to touring bands when they need to rent them - like when they fly to a show or are traveling light in a van. We supply the gear and the tech and will either work like a slave or sleep in a chair. That's why my weekends are usually shot.

To answer the most common questions:
1. Yes, I get to meet the band.
2. No, I have no idea what they're really like; I'm working for them, we're not BFF's. Can someone determine if you're a nice guy by meeting you at work?
3. Yes, it's an awesome job. It also sucks like you wouldn't believe.
4. Well..., Peter Frampton did once text me on xmas 2 weeks after I first met him.
5. Yes, I'd much rather still be playing but I prefer to have nice things and regular meals.

Don't know how I missed this thread .. thanks for bumping it John

I am currently the CFO of a niche consulting company in Charlotte. We provide supply chain intelligence for any industry that utilizes trees in their manufacturing processes: pulp, paper, sawmills, bioenergy, etc.

Looks like I might be moving to the COO position rather quickly ....

Prior to that, spent 20+ years in the paper and packaging industry doing everything from front line supervision in the manufacturing area to sales management to finance.

Every time this thread gets bump I have wanted to post, but forget then it is off the first page. So here goes.

I own three Lighting Stores. If you are ever building a house or remodeling or just need anything lighting related let me know.

I am an engineer for AT&T. I work on the wireline side of the business designing copper and fiber optic solutions for buildings, neighborhoods and cell towers. I've been in telephone engineering since 1990 except for a four year stint from '94 to '98 as a restaurant owner/operator.

Not sure if I ever posted. I have 2 jobs. I work for the federal govt as a material handler on a Marine Corps base. I also run a lawn/landscape biz. Managing my landscape biz is the real job since I'm not always on site.

I'm looking for a new job soon. I'm also trying to sell the landscape biz.
