Sounds like she is looking for attention. Why not drive her and keep the seals lubed with fresh fluids from use?

Because the PS pump went out on the trip back from Manchester and I have been working over 100 hours per week with no time to work on it. I have also been sick.

On the bright side ... No broken thumb in your list ailments.

Hospitalized for chest pains. Looks like the gallbladder. :crybaby:

Chris, You are too young for health issues. Take of yourself and get better.
Stress. Plus I hit 40. Doesn't it all go down hill from there? ;) :flipoff2:

Got the little dash parts and turns out the puddle under the truck was from a bottle of PS fluid and a bottle of radiator fluid that exploded in the tool box in the back of the 40

It was quite the pain in the ass to clean up. When will this heat end???

OK -
Power steering pump rebuilt.
I followed these instructions:
Troubled Child: Off-Road Adventures in a 1986 Jeep Grand Wagoneer - Saginaw Power Steering Pump Rebuild
And
Power Steering Pump Rebuild - The Corvette Restoration Page

I ordered the ZSC-563 kit from Zip Products. With shipping i think it was $20. A rebuilt pump from Advance with a core is like $45 so I really did not save much. Regardless, I did it myself and now know how a Sag pump works. It was a :banana: job. No more for sure.

Rather than post a bunch of pics and instructions I thought the links might be helpful to someone. It was very easy. I do not think it was 2 hours from removal to driving. I even got mud on it today! :flipoff2:

Thanks again Sean. The parts look great. Seem smoother than usual. Have you guys replaced your whole system? You mentioned something the other night and I know the company was planning on an upgrade.

we have a new system now but still use the old system for small batch jobs. not sure why smoother than normal, hopefully we didn't switch powder suppliers of that particular gloss black. purchasing does that crap all the time trying to save a nickel and ends up costing us more down the road with problems in the field. let me know if the color/gloss doesn't match & we can reshoot them. sorry.

Well. Andy said I needed a bumper, so I built one.

I cut down the bumper that was originally on the truck (I don't have pics of it apparently) and then used parts from a free beast I got from an ex-mudder.

What a huge POS  - If anyone wants what is left they are welcome to it, otherwise it goes to recycle.

A guy form TuT hooked me up with the new to me winch.

Looks good if I do say so myself. Now if I can only have time to wire it and then, umm, use it.

If anyone has a lead on the old style controller with four female prongs, I need one.

In other news. I drove it to pick up some bolts and it was running super hot again. Next thing I try is removing the thermostat all together.

Condition of the radiator? If used, have you had it serviced?
