Those things are piles of ****. I’m already hearing about electronic failures on them. And we know that motor is garbage. Nothing to be star struck about.

Didn't realize that V35A-FTS was already dismissed as garbage!? Isn't Toyota using it in LC300 across the globe too?

Tons of engine failures since they started using it in their LS500. As far as I know it’s the same motor in the GX aside from smaller turbos.

I’ve heard numerous first hand experiences about these failing. If you don’t wanna take my word for it go visit the tundra forums or just do a quick Google search.

Japanese V35A-FTS Bearing Issues

I know the tundras have lots of documented cases. Surprised to see LX600s with the issue too. Have any members had experience with this on their LX600?

Interesting but thanks for the heads up. Reevaluating my ‘21 LS500 purchase now. I’m glad we’re not in a rush to close this deal.

Yeah definitely do some research before signing anything. Sadly looks like Toyota 4x4 reliability died with the V8s and N/A V6s.

Stay safe. We had a crazy storm with 80 MPH winds and ping-pong sized hail come through a couple of days ago. 40k+ ppl lost electricity. Still could have been worse - a town west of us in IA lost 4 lives to the tornadoes caused by the same storm
