Went for drive tonight and the sway bar felt good. I will have to play with the shock adjustment to find the right settings. Excited to have this piece done.

Bonus tonight the aurora borealis is visible. I took some pictures with the phone that turned out pretty good I think.

Very cool pictures, I hope to see the Aurora’s someday !

The Milk Truck had to work today hauling firewood. Spent some time in area I had never been before, so firewood collection was a good excuse to play on the trail with the 45.

I bought a IPad mini to use for navigation. I hung it on the mirror mount and it fit nicely. Tilted up it is easy to see and tilted down it acts like a rear view mirror.

I purchased a Pivot case designed for pilots that has its own built in mount. It was not cheap as far as cases go but some of the features were appealing to me. It is very easy to remove from the mount and stays in the case the whole time. I have not spent a lot of time with it yet but I really like it so far.

Photos turned out great! And the location overlooking the Valle Grande was a plus.

Well, an unexpected treat today! My first view of the completed Milk Truck. Looking good. Last time I saw it was in the shop early in the build, when @ceylonfj40nut and his two boys were out in northern New Mexico for a visit. After the shop tour, a great burger lunch at Los Ojos in Jemez Springs.

Saw the Milk Truck on West Jemez Road on the way back from a hike on Escobas Mesa in Bandelier National Monument this afternoon just after 3:00. Just a brief glimpse as Dennis passed by going the other direction near the Emergency Management Center.

I thought that was you in the 60. Glad to see you out and about. I drive it just about every chance I get, I sure we will cross paths again in town, so you can get to look it over.

Cat Mesa's a nice spot to explore, with some great views, and it doesn't see a lot of use.
Yeah it is a nice area out there. I started out on a designated road and kept driving to make a loop. The road I came out on was well traveled but wasn’t a road on the Gia map I was using. Using iPad to navigate that area was helpful.

I was looking at old USGS topo maps this morning, and ran across a map showing a sawmill at the end of the road on Cat Mesa, just SE of and above Jemez Springs. Your photo of hauling logs made it even more pertinent.

I will have to explore farther out that Mesa to see if there are any remnants of the mill. I love old maps. It is fun to see what used to exist in forgotten areas.

It was a very dry winter here. I have been doing fire mitigation around my and my neighbors property. The 45 has been hauling slash to the fire pit.

This is really tough, but such is life. I am thinking about making The Milk Truck available for sale. I don’t know what I will ask yet but I do hope to recoup some of what I put into this however I figure that out.

I won’t be able to post a for sale thread for a bit but figured I’d make it known here. If you’re interested shoot me a pm I will entertain offers until I come up with what it would take to let it go. I not expecting nor do I need a quick sale. I would really like to take it back to SAS this year but I guess I will see how that works out.

Edit: No need to sell at this time, hopefully things continue to work out.

Dennis, this is one of my favorite trucks I have ever had the pleasure of being in the vicinity of.
I sincerely hope you can hang on to it.

Agree man! Blood sweat and tears in it. It must be for a really good reason. Honor that man! Good luck compadre.
