The last two nights iv put in some late hrs so that I can get these sliders finished , powder coated and mounted on the truck by the end of the work week ... so far I'm very please with the results ...

You'll notice I decided to add a 1"x1"x6" long notch at the front of the slider. .. I'm a stickler for detail and preventing what might could happen in a worst case scenario. .. I notice while fitting the slider, where the body panels come together down the vehicle about 6 inches from the front fender, the panels curve out to the outside of the vehicle ... in the case that I slam down hard on the slider the notch will dodge where those panels come together. .....hopefully

Yeah its killing me that I couldn't mount them today ... 123robertelee is giving me a hand with the front control arms and axles tomorrow..... If I have time tomorrow I'll mount them afterwards

Nice. Bad enough I am in the middle of a FJ restoration and now I am thinking and have been thinking about doing similar mods to my GX470. I like where this is going all the same.
 
Well today 123robertelee :akabrad: helped me ... :edit: (I help him help me:wrench:) install my total chaos front control arms... and we had to pull ever mcgiver ingenuity trick in the book to get it installed. .. it was a nightmare but we got it done in only 9 hrs :deadhorse:

phone was dead when we finally finished but I got this one pic taken late at night after a wedding ... I'll post more later on ...

Long story short ... just about ever bolt was a chore and both of the front lower rear control arm cam bolts had to be cut out bc they were seazed so badly no hammer, air hammer, or port o power could get them out. . Luckily we "found" :hillbilly:some cam bolts off another toyota that we jerry rig'd to work till I can order new ones to replace them ...

Overall I feel bad I took Brad away from his family all day bc of our struggles but def glad and blessed to have someone stick it out with me to the end the way he did :slap:... I def owe this guy debt of graditude

Totally happy with the results!. .. just have to do a few touch up things tomorrow :likeaddmorediffluidoops:
Replace bolts that wer cut off , and get an alignment ...
2 weeks till SCC in Hot Springs Ark ...welding on sliders and front bumper is next ...

What a day!!!! But it was all worth it, I'm just glad we got it finished.
