It looks the worst, there all beat, the engine skid has a dent that was rubbing on the front diff and the transmission skid need bent back into place after a trip to Rausch creek trip. It doesn’t help trying to go places I shouldn’t.

That engine skid rubbing on the front diff is known problem for all brand. It seems we need stronger center support like OEM skid that have a jack pad to support it to the cross member above it.

That’s exactly what we need.

I got the gas tank straps in.I had to take some wedges and get the tank off the skid plate then put the strap in to get the skid plate off. Then redo the straps with the rubber pad on them.

Gas tank skid plate is back on.
It was a fight, broke the first captive nut

in the frame and the new lower control arm bolt was long and was hitting the skid plate.
I ended up drilling a hole in the frame to add a nut in the frame. PITA
I just cut the bolt down for the control arm skid.

How much gas was in it? Looks like it was a pita

My factory fuel tank skid is super beat
I got front steel skid coming. Already received the aluminum transmission and transfer case skid because I want to save some weight.
Looks like I am getting steel fuel tank skid next. The bad part is it make the driver side a lot heavier than passenger side.
