I got front steel skid coming. Already received the aluminum transmission and transfer case skid because i want to some some weight.
Looks like i am getting steel fuel tank skid next. The bad part is it make the driver side a lot heavier than passenger side.
Aluminum is not going to work for me, especially on the east coast.

Just for @Onur a week of wrenching on the beater has taken it’s toll on my hands as well.

Wow! That is a tight fit. I’m trying to make a decision right now on a new winch. My M8000 is just not enough for the GX. I had planned on relocating the control box to top of the inner fender well on either the drivers or passenger side. More than likely the drivers to reduce the amount of wire that needed to be routed.
 
@landwagon - I have the same winch/SSO. LMK what you decide with your control box - I'm in the same boat right now.

I'm thinking of taking the internals (eliminating the outer aluminum housing) and putting them in this HF ammo can, running the remote and on/off switch up to the lid inside a small, dust-tight box and mount it all adjacent to the power-steering reservoir. Thoughts??

I’m still not sure yet about the control box.
I’ve watched the video a few times of the install on n a 100 series, it’s in the winch and recovery section Badland apex thread.
There’s a lot of room on the passenger side but I’m wanting to relocate the washer fluid reservoir there.
 
I ended up just putting a notch in the control box and slight bend in the line.View attachment 2278382

Weird (to me)....glad it worked for you! The cross member that the hood sits on is totally in the way for me when I tried to jimmy this in place......I had to go a completely different route (putting an update over in the Winch thread so I don't wreck you build thread).
