For anyone in the RDU area, my buddy Jason just opened a Bottle Revolution on Chapel Hill rd. Really cool location with more beers on tap than the Lake Boone location. Definitely check it out if you're in the area

That's real close to me. I'll have to go check it out!

Anyone use the app Untapped? My boss's peer introduced me to it and is kinda like Pandora for beer and makes local recommendations for stuff on tap.

BrewGene is also a pretty neat app ... I have not used Untapped

Yeah untappd was discussed a few pages back. Both Tim and I use it. Best beer app by far. My screen name is my full name Alastair Vann. Had it for about a year now. Love it

I'm. ontherxs and I like beer

Johnny, drink your sucks yet?

went to an "extended" family wedding in angiers on saturday (no clue where angiers was before this) and the wedding was completely dry.... not even wine or champagne for the toasts.

So Andrea and I made our time not at the wedding count and went drinking with the keefers, actually wanted to get more ONSC together for it but time was tight, I will be up there again around new years and want to see some of the raleigh area people and don't see very often... so i'll post that up when it gets closer.

Anyway... drank a bunch of sarnac variety pack, nothing really worth posting though.

Got the 2014 sierra nevada narwhal though, great stout.

Saturday before the wedding we went to Double Barley near smithfields

Their IPA and Thrilla in Vanilla was great but their bourbon aged steakhouse stout was the belle of the ball.

Sunday morning before going hiking at raven rock we hit up Aviator again.

Pretty much tried everything from them I hadn't had before..... all very good but their devil's tramping ground is still my favorite year round beer from them by far.

Then i've been searching for this one since Johnny posted it up on this thread years ago, but for some reason this one never makes it to charlotte. I found it in the Aviator beer store and it is a damn solid IPA.

Right? I only see it in I think 4 packs or as singles on a shelf. Pretty solid brew I never hear about. Honestly it was the unique label design that drew me to it.

Yep, we get other breckenridge brews here but never that one.... I just stumbled on it as I was heading to the counter with other beers. Pretty high up there on my list.

Went to Kids first of the Carolinas toys for tots raffle at Good Bottle Company... Bring a toy get a raffle ticket. These buckets contain beers such as Heady Topper, Pliny the Elder, NODA monstro, 2010 silent night, narwhal bourbon aged, Founders KBS 2010, Bot on County stouts from the last 3 years, a bourbon county brand stout rare, etc..... Basically an ass load of rare beer.... Many that you cant buy in NC....

How was the Stone smoked Porter w/ vanilla bean? I haven't seen that before....

And very cool Accumulation sign - I'll buy it from you if you decide to sell...... :)

Interesting sample from the weekend and quite tasty for not normally being a green man fan. Used the wine buying method and fell for the label lol
