How about a pic this morning....

Know what that means? Means the Sniper EFI has been completely installed and is working. Now to do some fine tuning, and this will be one heck of an UPGRADE!

Yea, I'm not too thrilled about the rubber fuel lines.....so I'll be upgrading those to hard lines before too long.

Oh, not only was this a Sniper EFI upgrade, I installed my big cap FJ60 electronic dizzy as well. Thanks @4Cruisers for all the help!

Nice job. Very clean. It’s amazing how stock an engine can still look. Remind me, what did you do for fuel pump?

also, there is a guy local that is dying for one of these and the intake bracket. Yours looks new. Source?

Thanks! Brother, you were much an inspiration on this installation. Yea, when all was said and done, I stepped back to look. Other than the two black snake looking things running across the front of my valve cover, doesn't change the engine bay much.

The bracket itself was just a well taken care of OEM unit, but the hose can be found here > Gates 7743-00555 <

It's the inline fuel pump @FJ60Cam has with his kit. I think that is the TI version of the Walbro GSL392.

Note, the supply hard line in the photo has been removed once the final connection was made.

Is there a particular reason why the inline GSL392 seems to be preferred over the GSL394? The 392 seems to be overkill and the 394 seems more than adequate. I’m running the 394 but on the trail only so I don’t get to experience highway driving. I’m just going by the specs. The 394 is a little less amperage and a little less flow @ 60 psi. Same physical dimensions. "Pump Specs" - - "Graphs" (page 5)

Mainly cost and availability. The 392 is less expensive and more readily available, and it works. I haven’t seen a downside to using it.

That said, I agree. It is overkill. I’ve quietly been supplying the 190 LPH pumps with the in-tank kits, and used one on a recent shop install.

Once it has proven itself, I'll switch over the inline pump kits to the lower flow pump.

No difference in noise between the 15 psi/109 LPH pump to the 255 LPH pump.

In my experience, the inline pumps are silent unless there is debris or a restriction in the tank or pickup tubes. So far that’s been the cause of 100% of the noisy pumps I’ve come across.

Being the choke cable will no longer be needed for this application, it was removed. Also, I figure with the new electronics, I wouldn't need the vacuum gauge either. In lieu of sourcing the NLA large grommets, here is what I've done. @ToyotaMatt was kind enough to send me one of his large grommet look-a-likes, so it was used in vacuum gauge location. And in place of the choke cable, I've installed a RAM mount 1" ball post. It is here that I'll locate the new diagnostic monitor for the Sniper system.

I just cleaned up an original. However, great aftermarket re-pops can be found here -> Floor Mat <- thanks to @Racer65

Hand throttle installed...but the jury is still out on my firewall bracket. May have to re-cut, bend & bump up the metal gauge on the next one.

Oh, being the EFI doesn't need the carb fan, look what was cleaned and reinstalled.

Tis the reason to keep the old original parts.

Brother, get the parts and come on over. I have an empty bay at my shop.

To anyone following my thread that is on the fence about adding EFI......Let me just say, it's an UPGRADE like no other when it comes to engine performance!!!! And to think, every time I drive my rig, the Holley Sniper is learning how to perform better.
