OK, the re-set didn’t go well. It took a few tries to get it to fire-up. And when it did, it ran a few seconds and stalled. Cranked back up, a few seconds, stall....stall after stall. I then did another system reset. With an erratic idle it stalled a few more times. But finally was able to finesse the gas, get it up to 160 degrees, and it seemed to idle better. But it would would blow black smoke (too rich) upon heavy throttle. Take a look at the #2 plug after about 400 miles.

Below is the #2 plug I took out for the Sniper Install. It has about 5,000 miles on it with the OEM Aisan carb.

Just throwing this out. Didn't you mention the location of the sensor on the exhaust manifold was not exactly optimum? Maybe that was a different Sniper Install.

I'm not sure where the optimum location is, but here is where my O2 sensor is located.

Sounds like you smoked your O2

Hummmm......running the Holley's Wizard setup with the idle AFR at 13 would do that? Seriously? It wasn't till 8 miles ago I changed the AFR up to 14. I guess I'll give them a call tomorrow and have a chat about their system.

I have no idea how an O2 goes bad but those new symptoms sound like a bad O2.

Thanks to @Jdc1 I'm going to make a few data log files and send them out for review. I just sent one out of the unit idling when it was up to temp. I'll take one tomorrow from a cold start and send that out for review as well.

One way or another, I'm going to find out why the new Sniper is giving me such attitude!

Hopefully thanks doesn’t turn into my fault, lol.

Wish you could attach a zipped file here. I’d like to have a look at your cold start data log. Not that I could help you with it but just for a look and comparison with one of mine.

a good rebuilt Aisin carb by mark or jimc is great.

Years ago I had similar issues with TBI that I installed on a 350, mostly surging idle, and electrical draw issues from an electric fan.

once sorted it ran really good! You’ll get there.

O2 sensors can cause stalling issues. Could be making it way too rich until warm. I think yours is in a good spot, but possible it’s a bad sensor.

I know that you’ll be happy once this thing is dialed in.....

You know it! As I have a special trip in August that is dependent on getting this EFI running correctly. :)

Ok, an update on my Sniper saga! For the life of me and the individuals I was consulting with, none of their adjustments were working to help my Sniper with the 'Start-up & Stalling' issues. The installation of the "Corvette Filter/Regulator" and single supply line, wreaked havoc on my Sniper's performance. The proof was in the "Global File" and the multiple "DLZ Files" I sent to Holley for their review....but no adjustments would get the Sniper to play nice with the "Corvette Filter/Regulator" on my rig. So I decided to step back, and re-set before I ripped the Sniper off and re-installed the Aisan.

Remembering that my Sniper ran well with the initial install. That was using a supply and return line that came with the kit. I decided to take one last swing before canning the Holley Sniper experiment. Yep, you guessed it, off came the "Corvette Filter/Regulator". I order a few parts to make some new hard lines, and below is the result.

So, what was the outcome...........?

Before I fired up the engine, I reset all the Wizard's parameters back to the original install. Cycled the key switch, then turned the key, and to my surprise the 2F came to life and idled just fine!!!!

Well, the past few days, I've been DD my rig. I'm happy to report that it has NOT STALLED one time!!!! I'll try and update the thread to see how the long term use of the Sniper is functioning on my 2F. But for now, I'm just PEACHY! :hillbilly:
