Headed out in the am to ck out this pig I’ve named Pete, after owner ( says it’s been in family over 20 years)’ definitely a good ol boy, looks good

Keeping it for now, as it is the only one I have intact, the other 2 have either had wiring butchered or in a million pieces. But it has no smog, and I don’t want to pay to find parts to replace it, so it will eventually move out of Ca.
the PO was going to sell it to a high school kid who wanted to cut it up, and build a Mad Max vehicle, but I called first-that would have been sad

Radiator number three.

The first two were CBR radiators and both developed leaks in the core with no apparent damage and CBR has zero customer support, I’m not implying the CBR radiators themselves are at fault and this very well could be an issue on my side but their unwillingness to talk about it or even look at the radiator got me looking at Ron Davis.

So far my experience with Ron Davis has exceeded my expectations in every way and Ron himself has spent the time to answer every question and share his knowledge to ensure his radiator will last in my car.

One of the things he was telling me is that he won’t put the cap above the return line because pressure spikes will burp coolant past the cap and you’ll continually lose some amount into the overflow and I have been fighting this since I’ve owned the car. Next he spent quite a bit of time talking about electrolysis cause and effect on the cooling system and give a detailed work sheet to trouble shoot with solutions to solve potential issues, I’ll update with more on this after I’ve gone through all the tests and have a better understanding of what I’m reading on this sheet.

These are the "King of Hammer Spec" tire and they are pretty sticky compared to the other racing tires, all my buddies run 42" tires but I'm limited to a 40" without going to wider axles so these are a little taller than my old set and hopefully will help me get over a few of the obstacles I struggle on now and saved me 25K on axles. At least that's how I sold the idea to the Mrs.
I'm going to need to go remove the rollover hazard sticker before she sees that.
