I live in the Austin area and these 100+ degree days are taking a toll, not just on me but on my cruiser it seems.

Door actuators have zero problem in normal temps, but if the truck is left in direct sunlight on one of these days, they develop a mind of their own.

I’ve also noticed that the gas gauge will read empty when in reality it has a quarter to half a tank. When I first crank the vehicle in the heat (never in the early AM when we are only in the 80s/90s) it shows the gas warning light but after driving for a bit it will correct itself.

Unfortunately the cruiser doesn’t fit in the garage at the moment, and I didn’t experience any of these issues until the consistent higher temps hit.

Anyone else having heat related issues? Our local news even did a story on car issues that were happening to due to the heat, so I’m clearly not the only one in the area feeling it.

Same here with the door locks. I just try to keep it out of the sun, if possible.
