There is always the cheap way of doing things...
My installer used the bracket as a basis for the enclosure out of fiberglass. The bracket has been installed by several Mudders before, but don't expect much from a free-air sub. The subs with enclosures will always sound much better.
I measured the factory bracket, and measured where the additional holes were in the truck, and drew the hole pattern in CAD. Cut out a flat sample piece out of thin 20ga steel on my plasma table to verify the hole locations. I adjusted them appropriately, then added the space to allow for the bends, and recessing the sub-mount part back to where it needs to be. That part was a little harder than it should have been, since the sub is recessed more at the bottom than it is at the top. (3D modeling software would have made things easier, I suspect) Then cut this version from 16ga steel, bent it up, and weld in the gusset you can see up top.
Yes, all in one unit.
I can make you one, especially if you're local to me (SLC, UT area). Shipping one might be more hassle than it's worth, but I can provide the .dxf file if you want to have it cut/bent locally...
Hmm, local to SLC? What would you want for one? Im interested. (sandy)
Does anyone still have the cad file for the bracket? Please email it to me...

Haspin, I'm not very good with electronics. For the Cerwin Vega that you installed did you use the factory wiring or have to run new wires to it? I want something that is relatively plug-and-play.I'd have to take a measurement but I'd say it's less then 5 inches in depth. Not as deep as the bracket itself. Panel fits over it just fine. The mounting points from the speaker to the bracket were a little tricky but able to be worked out. I mounted it upside down to more easily be able to access the controls and keep the electonics out of the water longer if I ever get stuck submerged.
Messaged!I have a bracket purchased from I Lean some time ago. Will know this week if going another route on the sub location. If so I would be happy to send to anyone who wants one if you cover shipping. If shipping is actually cheap, I may just cover that as well to keep things simple...
Dropped cruiser at shop last week in hopes of it returning sounding slightly better than the original setup.
Please add me to the list if it comes out well!Is the cad file still around . Can someone email it to me tggemini2010@hotmail.com . going to 3d print 1 , if it turns out ok ill do a few

As I mentioned in the email, since it's a 2D flat-pattern dxf, it probably won't help as much as you were hoping for a 3D print...but I'm looking forward to seeing the results!Cheers to those who sent me the DXF file . As this is a old thread I didnt think I would get much of a response lol .. after having a look ,I'll have to do a bit of tweaking here and there but I believe with some mods I can make it work .. will post pics once I have done a trial print!
