Meet me at GSMTR this year, Id love to see you try to keep up.
Now that is something I'd like to see.....
Schotts better trailer his rig in because if he tries to follow Al, he's gonna need it to get home!

You'd do fine. Just givin' ya crap.![]()
But it is so nasty that nobody in a SUV tries it. I finally did it in my 80. Then I led a buddy up it. It's one of those things that's so risky I could hear you (and all the Rubicon Trail wackjobs) say...."a 100 can't make it". Well guess what?

In fact, I'd luv to see a pic from the Rubicon Trail where a 100-series had to complete something as difficult and risky. Forget big rock pics. I wanna see a rollover risk, 6-foot tall ledge and vehicle-height rock climb while straddling a 4-foot deep crack pic. One wheel 4-5 feet off the ground with the slider keeping you from rolling. SEND YOUR PICS! Come on Doug, Amando, somebody.
...

That's cute.
And just one more example of how little you know about the Rubicon Trail.
Bring your 100...hell...bring your beater 80, then talk smack.
...but until you're willing to put your money where your mouth is and run the trail...you're doing nothing but blowing smoke outta yer ass...
I personally would suggest that John swap out his panties for some boxers and just drive the thing.
And you're sure it's not the tires (tech content so that thread continues)?

OK...you all remember assiting me with the LX450 at 4, 5, 5.5" lift and I was never able to get the thing smooth. So now, I took it down....all the way down. I now have:
*850 and 863 with OME C/C bushings and stabilizer
*No trim packs
*L-shocks
*NEW front and rear drive shafts (both balanced and installed properly)
*I've re-adjusted the upper rear arms to stock length...15 3/4". I'm actually 1/8" shorter than that which should be OK because there's some lift.
The truck is finally smooth when the gas is ON. I tried all the way to past 80MPH. I was stoked...BUT:
The truck STILL GRRRS from the rear shaft when the gas is OFF. It grrs even at lower speeds when off the gas. Maintain speed and it go away instantly.
Now what do I do? I got a standard friggin' OME kit on the thing!![]()
