Pretty sure it isn’t a club member, but the French mountain troops drive this (they’re staying at the same campground for a few days of climbing here in Provence).

Beat me to it—yup, maxtrax mounts. The crazy thing is that that’s enough mounts for EIGHT maxtrax…maybe if you operate in and around the Sahara that’s a really nice number to have handy?
 
I'm wondering what's going on with the side steps. They look modular and multipurpose? Maybe they hook up to the pintle hitch for towing something?
Perhaps its an extra tie down point if it is carried via helicopter or cargo plane?
