It does have four 35s on it and plenty of ground clearance. The two Front 21s and the wingspan might be a problem.
I’m thinking you guys need some Gulfstream parts for your Frankenstein build contest?
Sure. We got a fab shop available to us. We can pull the 4bt out of mine and put the turbine engine in it. I believe that there is enough talent at SAS that we could figure out how and do it within the week.

I’ve got a spot reserved 2-6 but may roll in Sunday. Anybody got room for a 60 and a 2 person tent?

Let's see him get that down Engineer Pass.
I'm sure getting it down Engineer wouldn't be that difficult to do. The survival rate and salvage operations would cause some issues though.

I don't know what site they gave me. If we got room, you are welcome pitch a tent in mine. Should only be an 80 and a 60. We won't be setting up our tents till after we back from the night trip with Gabe on Monday. We will plan on meeting the convoy at Brandon's Sunday.

Check in to get your swag bag and such will start on Monday morning around 8:30 or when we are ready. There will be coffee each morning as well.
I will post up what site number when we establish that.
Bring your cup over, check in and catch up with the SAS family.

Rolling west. See yall soon

Crazy old Cruiser. She's back together. Running about 199 next to the temp sensor as long as she stays under 210 I'm happy. Early start tomorrow for Thompson springs Utah. Desert Moon campgrounds.

My journey was supposed to start today, but it starts tomorrow. Casey and Patrick/Bowfin know i’ve been struggling up here in Northern MI w/ a radiator and a head gasket. We finally got a radiator in yesterday from SOR, ran to dealership and grabbed some Toyota Red, did the install and fired her up. We had a weird oscillating noise when the gas pedal got past about 25%. Silent at idle. My buddy Mark looked at me and said, “I think you’re fine”...... I was having second thoughts yesterday and called Casey to give him the potential bad news re: my 60. I didn’t know what the noise was but had visions of a breakdown somewhere in Nebraska. I was bummed. Not as bummed as a vulture coming through my windshield 30 minutes into the trip, but bummed.

So this am, we tackled it again. I wasn’t optimistic.

But, we had Mark’s pet pig “Kevin” helping, which I think eventually tipped the karma scales in my favor.

I’m serious. ...... he has a pet pig. Named Kevin. But that’s Northern MI. So Mark pulls the valve cover. Lifters.... Valves... Nothing. Casey even suggested looking down the side cover since we had the head off in case some trash fell down there. Nothing..... Mark finally crawls under with the stethoscope and hears the slightest noise near that pipe that come off the exhaust manifold that you cut and pinch weld during a de-smog. Which Mark did about 60 days ago. He pulls it and this is what we see.

Fire up the welder. Seal it up. Fire up the 60. Jump on the gas in gear and sweet silence. No noise. I’ve been packing ever since including something for the auction. I figured everyone likes broubon, so:

Currently blasting ZZ Top as I pack. RIP Dusty Hill. Taking off early tomorrow. It’s 13 hours to Grand Island Nebraska and just north of 80 is a nice little campground on a lake. I stayed there twice last summer during my 2020 solo trips to Ouray. Then it’s a short hop into Denver and do some fishing while I work my way down to Ouray on Monday. I’m site 58B on the north end of the campground. It’s a tan 60 that isn’t making as much racket as it did 24 hours ago. Safe travels everyone. Looking forward to my first SAS.
