How is the snow this year compared to the huge amount last year?
Snow pack good as long as it keeps snowing which last year we had big snow on westernslope up into May. So if stays the course be prob same as last year. Will all depend on next three months.
Here’s another pic from couple weeks ago, storm mtn outside silverton

Can you make a 60s series dark roast, please and thank you
I don’t like that fresh oil change coffee, I like it to have bite, like when the oil change is long overdue:hillbilly:
SAS “After Dark”

☝🏼😳 What happens at SAS stays at SAS.

(Until someone rolls up on a golf cart at midnight and waits for you to put out your campfire)

When I start taking preorders, if enough people order dark I’ll make some.

I might look into doing various Cruisers on my bags.

Soooo how dark we talking??? I want it to make my hair stand up
Maybe you should drink Starbucks...🤢 You loose to much flavor when you go to dark.:ban:

I trust my SAS folk, so I have a question. I’m looking at pulling the trigger on this 40. 1976 2F, front disks, almost complete, stock. $6,500. The rust is my only concern. Frame I’m told is in decent shape. I can weld, etc, just not sure if it’s a wise choice. Runs and drives though. Thoughts?

Well at least you can see what you’re getting. No bondo or paint trying to hide things, a big plus. Any rust inside the rig...on the back bed and what kind of shape is the frame in...and how about pics of the engine bay.

Ok, now I see the pics. You can do better for $6500. Too much rust for me.

I’ve kept that in mind (nothing hidden). There’s rust through inside you can see in some pics. That’s all the pics I have and Cruiser is in Colorado. Frame is supposed to be fairly good considering body.

Classic Cruisers is a pretty decent shop. I second John, if the frame is decent then you know what you are getting yourself into the body repairs.

Looks pretty unhacked-up and fairly original. I like that about it.

Structural rust would bother me. Character building rust wouldn’t (but I’m not going to do anything close to a full resto on one of these)

what would the plans be for the rig if you got it?

I always look at buying old vehicles in the same manner. First what does the average one go for on the market? FJ40s in pretty good/decent shape (not mint or all original) 25k... so if you buy this one for $6500 and do all the work yourself, could you do it with an 18K budget? If you can then it is just of a matter of how much of a hobby you want this to turn into.

Even tho I said that’s too much rust for me...it is at least fixable...mostly straight pieces...mostly.
