So here in Colorado we have the Toyota 4x4 Tax ( a made up tax that increases every Toyota by an easy 30-40% "because I know what I got" attitudes). So with this being original yes absolutely an easy $6500 because they know what they got. Once you get it and start fixing it, it starts loosing that "original" value because now you are cutting the rust and welding in new panels. But with a lot of work and free time, you can turn it around. It will just take a lot to flip it around and start gaining back the $6500 (unless you got a 40 tub just looking for a frame)

Looks pretty unhacked-up and fairly original. I like that about it.

Structural rust would bother me. Character building rust wouldn’t (but I’m not going to do anything close to a full resto on one of these)

what would the plans be for the rig if you got it?

I’d like something to fix up restore/mod with the kids. Soft top, simple wheels and tires. Just something fun without having to take the whole thing apart to fix it.

A running driving complete vehicle that has a few issues but is not hiding anything is a big plus for me. I'd rather have an unmolested 40 at a reasonable price ( like this one D) than spend a bunch of money on a hack job overpriced pipe dream.

Ok well I just called the KOA. I guess I have site 2 (an RV site). Well they done messed up now because it the first site inside the main entrance. Now I hope they don't have a problem seeing this every morning...... (also whoever wants to wants to stay in the site)

Hey, Cousin Eddy.....you're scaring the kids. :)

SAS “After Dark”

☝🏼😳 What happens at SAS stays at SAS.

(Until someone rolls up on a golf cart at midnight and waits for you to put out your campfire)

When you squint and read between these lines....you can clearly read @EasternYeti

If you want frame pictures, I could go there and get some. Only 2 hrs from my house.

Daniel, I'm with Casey. I'd rather work on an original truck any day. 90% of the 40's that are priced pretty cheap have a bunch of hidden crap under bad body work and diamond plate. This one really doesn't look that bad. Honestly, when a floor pan looks semi solid except for one little hole - patch the hole and stop the rust. I don't get why people carve out the entire pan for that fix on a driver.
Besides, it's a great year and great color. Patina!

I’m getting the 40! Looks like April early road trip!

@dogfishlake are you bringing some of your maple syrup?

If he doesn’t run out first!
