I am getting a Tiger Top soft top with winter comming on. What looks better on a cruiser, a set of soft doors or the old hard doors with a soft top? Thank you for opinions. Clark :bounce: :flipoff2: :bounce:

I third that. The hard doors will also give you a better seal to keep the rain out, and even keep the interior a little quieter on the road.

being hard is better then bein soft

i was hell-bent on getting a soft top for my 40, untill i kept seeing 40's with the hard top on and saw how sweet it looks, don't throw out the idea of the hard top - but if so go with the hard doors atleast

hard keep out the water better - and look pretty good - I switch to soft doors when rain comes and goes in the spring

I agree with you on the soft top and hard top, I love the hardtop look, until I saw Eshan's tops last year he started making. I still want the hardtop, but if I was going to get a soft top........

Eshan's is the only one I would ever consider, w/ hard doors of course :) Kinda has that Landcruiser, boxy, goofy look a 40 should have, but in a soft top.

Already speaking with Eshan. Trying to get in on a group buy.
Soft top and hard doors it is. I like that look too, I just wanted confirmation on what I already knew. Thank you all, Clark.

How about a compromise...

Get Eshans hard lower half doors with soft uppers. He is making these now right?

Best of both worlds?

Are your doors in good shape? I wish mine were?

that's what i'd like to get, but by the time you get them to your door and then get them painted, they're $1k. someone posted a while back that STC was making the same thing, but i emailed them and they confirmed that that was not true.

hard, plus they work a lot better than the soft doors would through the winter

And they are a lot warmer. If it gets really cold where you are, you will still freeze. 5 years ago my cruiser was my only 4wd vehicle and I live out in the sticks in NH. I had to drive it a lot. I froze. Hard doors, both heaters working good, and a kayline top. Anything over 40 mph got cold really quick. With soft doors, lower that to about 5mph.
