Added some 1” black keepers to the adjustment straps. Passed the 55mph highway test. IMHO it tidies up the the aft section of the top.

Tariff's are taxes, the only sure things in life are death and taxes. Sad they applied the tax after it was built and ordered, but that's gubernment for you. Gas prices go up instantly when crude oil goes up; when crude oil goes down it takes weeks to see price of gas drop - because they have sell all the gas in the system. Oh well, smile it will only get worse

Without searching the whole thread what was the cost of just the top excluding shipping, original import fees and original taxes? Would assume tariff (extra tax) should only be paid on original product. Just curious the percentage.
The percentage is 35%.
The issue I have seen is FedEx charging the tariff costs on to the shipping as well. FedEx is dead to me.

So true mate!
PS. The same thing in the European Union, too!

anyone know if theres tariff charges on the relik tops, or just the troa ones?
I’m willing to bet that if the Relik top aren’t specifically TROA tops, they are almost certainly coming from Columbia.

Not sure if I have a TROA top. Came with the 40 when I bought it. But just installed it and it appears too short. Feels like it fits perfectly in the top door channel and down the B channel but doesn’t quite fit over the last bow. It needs to come over like an inch over the last bow and should be perfect. Any ideas? Not sure where to get that extra slack from as everything else seems to fit nice.

Shorten the rear bow? What does the rear bow/wheel well interface look like, a photo would help. Most of these have some kind of bow keeper that the bow should sit down into (there are two designs). You want to make sure the bow is inserted and touching the wheel well.

Love the color of your 40. I think Nebula green would be my 1st choice of color if I ever restore a 40.

Here’s some pics. If I cut it down to be shorter then the other cross supports wouldn’t lineup right?

Its obvious it has been modified between the black & green section (rusty section). I'd bet it was not correctly measured/cut/welded..... I have a C-pillar hoop I could get some measurements on for you over the weekend if you wanted to remove yours and compare.

I doubt anyone would notice if you shortened it to make the lower edge of the soft top line up with the tub properly.

You are also missing the tub rail holder for that rear hoop:
