TROA emailed me and said they “TROA” sourced the zippers in Columbia. That doesn’t mean they were originally made in China.

Has anyone else had the issue with the straps not lining up with the bows above the B pillar? I have OEM bows from overseas but probably doesn’t make a difference.

You could make new straps to fit. Glue and sew to the trimmed old ones. I think I would use 1 1/2" velcro rather than the little snap. Leather with punched holes and laced tight with paracord
Maybe a little chiropractic work on the bows - Ratchet straps might just spring them enough to line up.

Yes, mine also don’t all strap tight. On hot days, I park in the sun and try to strap it and stretch the strap.

Wait, what top is this? Looks like a BestTop (no offense).
This is a custom top made by Est. 28 Upholstery. Bestop wouldn’t entertain making a longer top but they did supply various parts from a Jeep and Cruiser.
I’ve been out of the net, chased by the dragon, AKA the “Honey Do List”. I wanted to point out one of the add on features from the guys at Alexander Restorations - @Atram. Weatherstrip added to the front side bow sub assembly. This adds a measure of weatherproofing around the top of the door and mitigates “some” of the road noise caused by the small gap at the top of the door. YMMV

Build - 76 Fj40 Face Lift
I picked up a 76 TLC Fj40 about three years ago. Saw my 1st "40" up close when I was a kid. While sharing lunch with a fellow hunter I met, I commented on his "Jeep"...Well you get the picture. I got the lecture! The seed was planted and I picked the "red pill" shoulda' went with "blue"...

Thank you for the response! Is it a TROA or Relik? How long did it take to get after order placed. I’ve read all the stories over the years about all the top makers and not getting your product, thus the reason asking the specific company you bought from and time frame from purchase to delivery date. Currently have an 81 FJ43. I’ve had a 79 FJ40, which was restored by CCOT. Thanks in advance!
