It was parked ever since. It sat just like this for the next 15 years until a fellow club member called me and let me in on the location of this little gem. It turns out it was running when it was parked in the garage 15yrs ago. It's a 1975 FJ55. Looks like there will be a new pig in the club! And a lot of questions. I plan on it being my Daily Driver. No extreme wheeling or mods.

Ended up getting it for $600. All the parts you see missing are in the back. I've got some body work to do but it really is in pretty good shape.

It did have some damage to the front driver doors. And a this was the only significant rust I could find. Other than that all the other doors opened and shut with little effort.

Rear door looked pretty good.

Gauges and knobs looked good. They lost the keys so I'll have a little work to get everything working.

Headliner was in pretty good condition. Front seats are ripped but the rears from what I could tell were still okay.

All the emmisions system was still there.

Hood was in good shape

Something tells me that if I were to put a battery in it and flipped the rear window switch it would roll down. Though I'll probably lube everything back there up before trying it.

Stock rims and cap all the way around.

So I promised to get it out of her garage by this weekend. Let the fun Begin!

Nice find Troll!

Keep us up on your progress.

WOW!

:flipoff2:

Looks like a nice project.

nice find, and finding is half the fun. i have a 78 pig that is a rust bucket, but there are a lot of good pieces on it. it is the donor for my LV project so i may have some stuff you might want once i am finished. keep in touch. i think my dash is in very good shape. have fun.

thank you from saving the piggie from a death from neglect.

Washed her today. Lots of oxidation that need polishing. Installed battery.

She turns over. All the lights work. all the guages work. all the fans, blinkers, hazard, windshield wipers and yes even the windshield washers worked. I'm stoked. Even put air in the tires today and they hold air somehow. Only thing not working yet is the rear window.

It looks like the joint I found obove the sun shade was the tip of the iceberg.

Found a quarterbag of weed and rolling papers.

Right beside that I found Porn. Thats right a VHS porn. I kid you not. Will post pics tomorrow. Has to be the wildest thing ever found in a cruiser.

Pics come tomorrow.

Glad you got it home and sounds like the electrical is in good shape. My '73 has the same hubs - are they self locking? If so, anyone know what years those were available? Were they stock?

BTW, how do you know how much a quarterbag is? LOL.

Looking forward to seeing more pics tomorrow.

Brian

I never find cool stuff in cruisers that I buy. I think in 3 of my 4 FJ's I have found a bunch 22 bullets, but that is about it.

Actually that isn't true, found a beat up Gerber knife in one - sent it in to Gerber and they replaced if free. Yehaw.

Hijack over,

Brian
