Here's an update on the bedliner I used. It's called Monstaliner, by Magnet Paints. 37 colors to choose from and I picked black. It sprayed on good, watch for splatter and should do a light coat first. The second covered very well.

So that makes,

One coat Zero Rust
Two coats Lizard Skin, Sound Deadener
Two coats Ceramic Insulator
Two coats Monstaliner, bedliner
All ribbing, body mounts and hidie holes,
got Rust Encapsulator and Internal Frame Coating

I'm done with the bottom! :)

Pablo,

It's from Eastwood, http://www.eastwood.com/internal-frame-coating-w-spray-nozzle.html I just kept spraying the inside of the frame, then flipped it and sprayed again. Same as all the spots, you can't reach with anything else. All around the inside of the roof, body supports, tailgate area, etc. Worked good!

Thanks, Ron

Thanks Guys,

I'm working my way to fitting the motor in. I need to make up my mind on what to do with the doghouse. It's been sandblasted and painted with Zero Rust, but not sure about spraying bedliner on the inner fender wells. I know, least of my worries, right.

One bite at a time

wow...looking great ron....damn things gonna weigh a ton with all the coatings on it!...hope the motor issues get resolved!...stare some more!

Thanks Man,

The motor issue, will get solved, one way or the other. :hhmm: I got time.

Wait until the inside gets sprayed, really heavy and quiet!

Pablo,

I can't answer that, never used the Film. Doesn't it have to be reapplied every season? The products I used, are more like a paint and stay on.

Crackedup,

Thanks man, I just hope it all comes together. I've got alot of parts, sitting here, waiting for me to figure it all out.

Well, I had one of those moments today. I've been waiting on all the parts for the PTO, so I could start putting all this back together. Everything was going good, until I came to the Output Shaft Rear Bearing. Looked around---No Bearing!.

You have to remember, the Transfer Case was shipped to me all in pieces, so I didn't know what I had or what I needed. Georg at Valley Hybrids, has been holding my hand through all this, bearing is on the way.

I thought, might as well put in a breather nipple, so I can run the hose up higher. Drilled and tapped the old breather hole, good to go.

That looks immaculate!
You are doing it right the first time!

I guess without looking at it myself, how would the 5.3 truck manifolds fit? instead of having the center dump, it dumps towards the rear (away from your mounts.)

had a pair of these laying around i would have sent you for free a year ago lol

Thanks for the support Guys!

Bob, by the time I finish this one, we may be too old to drive!

Pablo, I'm trying to do it right, the first time, so we can go where we want and not worry, too much, about the pig.

Npulver, My 5.3 is from a truck and came with those manifolds. They dump right on top of the frame. No room for the collector. Wish it was that simply, but thanks for thinking about it. I can use all the help!

Thing of beauty!

Wow!

Would love to redo the "working pig" like yours someday!

Keep up the incredible work.

Thanks for the pm.

I had the truck manifolds on my engine when I picked it up. No joy. They output flange comes out on top of the frame with no clearance to work with. I thought about cutting them and rewelding them but that isn't much fun and its a pain to to correctly.. I ended up with a set of Sanderson headers.
