In a week or so, I'll have my body on jack stands and you can borrow it , for sure. Road Trip! :)

Had to order a special washer from Georg, for the Transfer Case, so it's hurry up and wait. Took apart the PTO box and found buggered up threads on the output shaft, so I had to order the die for it. 12mm x 1.25mm. [ $40 ] :eek:. Then I couldn't find a castle nut, had to make one. Anyway got it all put back together.

I got the washer from Georg, today and decided to get busy. I've still a few things to figure out, with it, but looks to be ready to hang on the motor.

I'm trying to get ready to mount the body on the frame, so I can fit the motor in. Problem , forgot I had to undercoat the doghouse . Spent the day tapeing off everything and realized, I have a gallon of the Monstaliner. once you mix in the two parts, you can't keep it, so I taped off the body again and went to town!

Three coats on the inner fenders, of the doghouse and two more coats on the undercarriage. I really didn't want to waste the Monstaliner. I hope that's it, so I can move on.

Awesome! I'm jealous.

NikP,

Don't be, you're the one, who has their motor mounts figured out. I'm sweat'n that one.

I had some time today, so I played with Georg's Twin Stick setup. I didn't weld in the sticks yet, thought I should get the body on and see where I'm at. Everything shifts good and smooth.

After all the bending and welding, I'm thinking it should all be powdercoated. :)

While waiting for my new body mounts and one inch lift kit, from 4crawler offroad, I took the body off the rotisserie and started finishing the firewall. Days are getting cooler and I wanted to rap up the firewall, before setting it on the frame. I got it alittle heavy for the first coat. Two coats Sound Deadner and two coats Ceramic Insulation. Lizard Skin doesn't like to cure in the cooler weather.

Ron, keep up the awesome work. When your done that PIG will be good for another 80 years. Are you going to re-paint the body?

Thanks Bob.:beer::beer::beer: BUD.

hey Bob,

The first plan, was to keep the paint job that is on it now. It was painted @ 6 years ago and has never seen daylight. Over the years, it has gotten some nicks, etc. and I've been getting some overspray, from the different undercoatings, on it.

So, plan two is to repaint, when I'm done with the drivetrain stuff and finished spraying the inside coatings.

Problem is, My Wife and I, both like some non Toyota colors, similar to that expensive one. I really don't like picking out paint colors, I'm more of a nut and bolts guy. We'll see.

Anything but PINK!----Pablo

I'm just trying to build something, I feel good about driving around the USA and have some fun doing it. It's like the down hill snowball, just keeps growing! :)
