...There are some mods that need to be made to the sliders in order for them to work, but its nothing too challenging...

Is this due to the exhaust routing on the 62? The 60's exhaust is inside the frame, so it should be pretty straightforward.

Has there been a discusion as to the relative merits of either welding or u bolting sliders on a 60? That's kinda on the future list and I don't recall seeing any thing definitive. What's the general opinions? :meh:

Greg I don't know if you have a welder. BUt if you need something welded I can hadle it. Just let me know.

looks good. I like the idea that they will also be steps.

thanks. i wanted dual purpose protection and slight step esp for roof rack access.

Marshall, thanks, have ability but no equipment here. ONE of the reasons I was looking at bolt on's. Thought about buying buzz box and building front bumper but time constraints cleared vision and just bought instead. Same line of thinking on sliders. Though per suggestions here even if I get bolt on sliders I think I would want them tacked on too. So I might be taking you up on that.

I'm bolted

I chose to bolt mine up - SROR sliders (1st gen when they were called Beeden sliders ;-) ) they hold up awesome. I've racked'em HARD. no movement, nuthin'. it was reeeaaal easy to put them on, too. just needed help holding them up. They are so good in fact, I got the bolt on ones for my 40.

Jim will make them the way you want, once you decide what direction you want to go.

Here's what I've learned on this subject...both are fine. Just find your comfort zone.
