I purchased and installed some trail gear sliders. Here are some pics and a link. You cant beat the price (free shipping) and the quality is excellent. I am in So. Cal and had them in two days. However, you do need a good (powerfull 220v) welder to get them installed. They reccomend mounting them at 15 deg., but I put mine in at 25 deg. and still have plenty of door clearance. Here is the link to their site (I am not affiliated with them just a happy customer) http://www.trail-gear.com/rocksliders.html
you will need to order the 67" kit (it's a perfect fit) I also orderd the 8-leg & gusset kit.

Now I gotta go try to bend them!!!!

If you have any qustions feel free to post up.

Nice!!! I'm in the market. what is the leg and gusset kit. Is that how they are attached to the frame? I will now have to view the site. Thanks for the reply to my thread.

One more question. I live in San Clemente just up the road from you. Did you install them or did you have it done by someone else? I can't weld and I'm pretty sure if I had someone up here do the work they's screw it up.
Thanks again, they really look great.

I did the install myself. There are a lot of welders who are not off roaders and wouldn't quite understand the concept of a slider. If your ever up in Ventura county let me know.

Looks great! How much?

Marlin's and trail-mart's are the exact samething. The company that owns Trail-mart makes them for both, but sells them to Marlin for A higher price. Thats why Marlins cost more. Just an FYI.

I will order them, but I have a few questions: Did u only well them on and pronto? Does/will the tube 'lip' prevent door dings?

There is some cutting of the legs requiered and some other light fab work. The angle you set them at is up to you. The tube lip may prevent some door dings, but it depends on the size of the rock!

door dings from other doors that are parked next to you at walmart or something. not stupid rocks......

i wouldn't just be buying the sliders for anti door dings, but also for the offroad use. i'm just looking for something that does all the offroad protection PLUS the anti door ding from the blonde girl in the honda accord at walgreens. its like the cherry on top.

Sweeeet. I'm gettin' me some Monday!
