Does anyone make a better version of this handle? I’ve had two pre-70s Fj40’s and both had this piece broken. Seems someone by now naught have manufactured a metal alternative. If not, maybe someone has one rattling around in their stash?

And a pic for attention! Just because it has been a while.

Just happened to have a threaded ball knob. Was to big to tap the stud but ran a set screw in it and Wa-La!

What is it about men and their knobs?

Oh wait, this isn’t Chat!😛

I still think a metal garden faucet handle would work. :meh:

Steve H posted the link to my 69 cleanup thread on rising sun above. Here's the quick breakdown of what I did. I couldn't find a suitable T handle

I found a 35mm black phenolic knob with a M10x1.50 brass insert on McMaster Carr very similar to the teardrop knob I used to replace the knob on the pto.

Seems like this will work great. More durable and less likely to snag on when climbing in and out.

I used my M10x1.50 die to add threads to release pin/post. Knob screwed on tight. No need for set screw anymore.

Works great!
