Hell yah: I"m not afeared of any welding now:hillbilly:. The cool thing about welding , if you don't like the results, just grind it down and do it again,:D.

'A grinder and paint will make you the welder you ain't...'

I am all finished with welding in the patch panels on the roof. I am using Bondo made with metal in it, and it is guaranteed not to rust, time will tell.

The roof rust is repaired and now I am starting the process of re-paint and vinyl wrap. I am painting the lower part of the body with Plasti Dip and will wrap the upper with Mossy Oak,Shadow Grass, Vinyl.

Nice! Some people see that rust and just give up. Way to power through it. Nice looking truck too!

Thanks. Being a California native, I have never had to deal with rust before. It has been an adventure. I can't even imagine living back east and the rust issues those folks have.

Great stuff! keep it up!

Passed a salt truck 10 minutes ago on my road:crybaby::crybaby::crybaby:

Well, I finally finished the re-paint and vinyl wrap. Wow what a lot of work. I have to say, Youtube makes vinyl wrapping look way easier than it really is. I am totally stoked with finished product and hope it holds up well.

Thanks. The wrap was a kit from Mossy Oak wraps. I got the one for compact SUV, and it was $900 dollars. If I had it to do over, I would have gotten the one for full size SUV. It would give you more material to work with and not have to put a seam on the hood.

What's the story with your smog pump? Is it original? Ever had any problems?

Sorry for not responding sooner I didn't see the post. It is the smog pump that was on the truck when I bought it. I have since replaced it with an elimination pulley as I only have to smog on change of ownership. I removed it so it won't wear out or seize up. When or if I ever sell my 60 , I will have a working pump to put back on

Now that it's done, for now, here are some pics of it out in the wild:)
