Lots of work was done to BIG BETTY so it might be best if @mesa man just posted the list. He did a lot of the work to get us into the San Juans safely.
We are always so anxious to get there and then it will be gone before we know it. Taking it day by day and enjoy each moment is key to this adventure!

Okay! We picked up this beautiful beast, 3x factory locked last September right after SAS for a song. Needed lots o love as she had a hard breakup from PO
The list was long! But we are ready and willing!
@Mesa Woman is always a great partner to tackle these projects with! She’s an interior expert/ resource efficienado!

• Repair squealing brake caliper with proper bolts that were falling off in PO driveway during purchase.

• Fab + weld / reinforce radius arm flip mounts

• R+R bent radius arm

• New 37x12.5x17 Kanati mud hogs, old bfg
Crawlers were dry rotted!

• New steel rim / mount toyo spare tire

• Remove stock bumper /install Rear swing out Avid Bumper.

• Plasma cut front homemade over-welded bumper off of frame rails. Installed used ARB!

• Cut welded sliders off / installed used bolt on White knuckle FULL size sliders

• Fully Rebuilt knuckles with Cruiser Outfitters
Rebuild kit. All seals,wheel +trunnion bearings, gaskets and OEM inner axle seals( removed failing eco-seals and learned about hi failure rate in 80’s)

• Brake backing plate shield delete.

• install sound deadening +Full carpeted sleeping platform with storage for future drawers, removable 2nd row box for 1 or 2 seats.

• new windshield installed

• sealed many rain leaks from rear side widows, front windshield and window trim.
Drained rocker +body panels, cleared pinch welds and removed plugs.

• R+R brake fluid flush

• exhaust gaskets x4 @ deleted cats

• installed new Rad hoses + new OEM cap.

• R+R PHH and hard line with 1 longer 5/8 hose up to firewall!!!

• rear heater delete bypass hose.

• new heater control valve.

• new breather hose

• PAIR system delete/ replace coolant hard line from 1997 model.

• fabbed block off plates to move 02 sensors to manifold where PAIR was deleted.

• tune up/ Denso spark plugs/ OEM dizzy cap + rotor.

• new OEM BELTS.

• oil + filter change.

• OEM air filter.

• install trailer light harness.

• install 6” drop hitch receiver for the M416.

• too many small details to list.

I am not sure if I shared this before. The local law enforcement agencies will be holding a safety fair called National Night Out at the Ouray County Fair Grounds (which is in Ridgeway) on Tuesday, 8/5 from 5-7 pm.

FREE FOOD!

We had to drop out this year.😕 My younger daughter mentioned that she was looking was looking forward to hanging with them too.

Just make sure to check under the mounts as it’s a common place for rust to start on 80s

These rack were port installed and are not factory. 😉
