You can always walk around came 🤣

Really just trying to be helpful.

The trails are not tactical just unforgiving if you make a mistake in a lot of places.

And good nite 😴

The last time I ran Hells Revenge in the BJ74 I was less than comforted by the braking performance. :slap:

I have 7 locked in for Black Bear on Tuesday at 7:45 am. We will take it easy and we will have a few spotters lined up in case they are needed. 3 more spots are open.

There are also plenty of spots open for the Thursday/Friday trip over Stony Pass, Kite Lake, Carson City and Engineer Pass. I attached the gpx file for anyone who is interested.

DM me if you would like to be added to either group.

If you still have a open spot for Black Bear put me down please as it sounds like my 7x brethren are not doing that one .

Getting so close. I am getting so excited for the beautiful passes and cool mountain air.

@Mike Shull if you’ve still got room for Black Bear, count me in.

I'm back in business. Picked up the 74 at Cruiser Outfitters this morning. It is an amazing transformation. Kurt's crew did an outstanding job. Now I can confidently bring it and pull the Kimberley.

Thats at the crank though. ~100hp at the wheels then? Also deduct another 15% for altitude?

I think Chris is around 45hp at altitude with the 22R. 🤣
For sure I'm probably ~40hp at the wheels on top of Imogene

About 3% de-rate per 1,000 ft ASL. 30%+ at the tops of the passes. Quite a bit on already slow rigs. Thats the factor due to air density alone, and assumes your fuel metering remains correct. If running a carb your fuel metering likely isn't tracking perfectly with altitude and the losses will be even higher. 45 hp for a 22R may not be that far from the truth..

Now imagine getting 39s rolling with a 1FZ 😜

Did I just spy early SASers coming through Salida with a gooseneck full of Land Cruisers (tan 60 series, grey 40) or was that just wishful thinking on my part? 😍
There’s another Cruiser event going on in Ouray right now. But who knows, could be some of us.
