No free ice, but one thing they do offer that I have always appreciated is 6pack sized solid blocks of ice. Great for keeping in a food cooler.
Thanks. Blocks of ice are even better.
HAHA well there will be several Virginia plates back there as well
I have a set of those. Ha!

New clutch disc, pilot bearing, release bearing and pressure plate. The flywheel was resurfaced. New rear main seal, new transfer input gear, new bearings and seals in the transfer, new output flanges for the transfer, new rear pinion shaft seal.

A true “while I’m in there” mission. As it should be.

I have 7 locked in for Black Bear on Tuesday at 7:45 am. We will take it easy and we will have a few spotters lined up in case they are needed. 3 more spots are open.

UPDATE: my Tuesday Black Bear group is full.

There are also plenty of spots open for the Thursday/Friday trip over Stony Pass, Kite Lake, Carson City and Engineer Pass. I attached the gpx file for anyone who is interested.

DM me if you would like to be added to either group.

Not getting anything when I click either of these links?

Is there a sign up link for folks to see who’s leading what when? I’m offering a couple easy trips as well.

Hello SAS friends, @joekatana is bringing a 70-series hood up from Texas to SAS for a project we're working on. The hood needs to go to a shop in Salida (near Classic Crusiers) where the truck is being painted. Is there anyone who would be heading home that way that might have space to carry the hood there? We would gladly pay some fuel costs to cover the trouble. Please let me know if you can help and we can arrange details offline. If not, I guess I'm crashing the party on Tuesday night. :)

We are going through Salida on our way to Morrison on Saturday. Could drop.

You will need to use that file linked above with a mapping program, like OnX.

I am taking names for these runs specifically and I understand that there will be a signup at the KOA base camp during the event for runs with other leads. I like to be on the trail early to avoid congestion, which seems best to plan ahead.

I'll need several spotters just for me

I still have you down as tentative for the Tuesday Black Bear run. Was I supposed to move you over to the confirmed list?
If you have several spotters is what it sounds like 😮

For the people like me that are first time attendees to sas and somehow missed the 90 pages on here with all the info .

What are the planned trails for the days ?
How do we sign up for them ?
Any restrictions or secret handshakes required ?

Thanks

Here are a few links. Yes, there is a lot of jabber, and I contributed to a lot of it. Hopefully this is one way to give back…

Reminders:
Registration and Coffee will open around 7:30/8a on Monday morning, be patient as we are setting up our personal camp sites as well as getting set up for the event.

CruiseHer run will be Tuesday heading to Red Mountain mining then those who are done can head back to camp and those who want more challenge we will head another trail to be announced by @80Lady

Group Photo and Raffle is Wednesday afternoon, plan to be back at camp around 2:00p,we will start gathering for group photo around 3:00p.

All other days are open for what ever kind of trail or day you’d like to have.

**TRAIL LEADERS**
Please remember to send Gabe, @mesaman, your trails for the first few days so we can have the white board filled in Sunday evening / Monday morning so SASers can see what’s available.
There will be another follow up email going out soon.

Hope working on your rigs brings you more joy than frustration and the thought of being on the trail and at camp with like minded folks brings you excitement for adventure!

Happy Trails!

There is a physical sign up board for trails each day. Also a beginners orientation the first morning to get anyone familiar with the gameplay.

Restrictions would be knowing your limitations and rig health.
Handshakes are private and between consenting adults.

There will be a white board hanging at Base Camp with a list of trails and trail leaders & campsite number.
Trail leaders will have trail leader SAS flags on their rigs.

This is a loosely organized event so we currently do not have a sign up link or sheets.

Most people hang out with their morning coffee around the white boards before their runs. Or make their plans around the campfire.

Also, my colorful posts usually hold information around SAS details.
