I don't think so… but I’ll ask or your welcome to call and ask.
Do you have an easy-up/canopy or awning? That’s what we use and just create our own shade.
Also, mostly we will be on the trails for the heat of the day.
No shade at either and 64 just got snagged… down to 59 and the two camping cabins 1&2. And that’s it for the SAS blocked sites until 7/31

@DrRock I believe that the back of R64 has a tree. R59 definitely is full sun.

@sogncab I wish I could afford to buy up three sites just so I could have the luxury of laying down and stretching across all of them at once … but then again I can’t afford to drop my junk off at Profitt’s for a makeover either. I guess I’m just poor 🤷‍♂️

You’re rich cause you have a cruiser and the experience to be able to work on it yourself!! The rewards are coming… the wind in your hair and the rumble of the cruiser under you and the amazing views you will experience!
We’ve got this!!

I mean, that’s absolutely the way I look at it! 😎

Now, hopefully if some Jeepers book the site next to me they’re good folks haha.

You just spent a ton of time and hours of research to rebuild your 2F. Then you slammed it in and got it sorted my friend. That is what SAS is all about. The folks with grit and determination to get it done. Looking forward to seeing @CruiserTrash and everyone else in a few weeks.

Thanks Casey. Looking forward to climbing Monarch Pass at about 5mph faster than my old 2F … so appx 40mph 😂

Oooh, bitter comments today. 🤣

I made some good decisions.
Got lucky on a few others.
Worked my tits off the whole time.

I gave all my money to PRLC, so I'm f-ing poor too. 🤣

Chill or don't respond.

You just need to do more Hi end work 😎
Just kidding it’s a inside joke @sogncab will get it 😂🤣

All of us that afford the luxury to take time off to play with our cruisers in the San Juan mountains for a week are very fortunate IMO

As an illiterate uneducated construction worker, who started with nothing I sure feel fortunate !! 😍

Thanks for the feedback @CruiserTrash

This year our director team and our team of volunteers would like to welcome our SASers to the SAS BaseCamp for a nightly campfire.

We would like to kick this off around 7/8p and ending around 10p.

We are trying to have something for each night so stay tuned for possible things like Cruiser Trivia!

Gamiviti’s whisky glass giveaway is Thursday and of course Raffle night is Wednesday.

All are welcome and encouraged to bring your camping chair, drink of choice and join us as we get to know each other more and enjoy the ambiance of fire and friends.

Hope to see ya there!

Safe Travels and Happy Packing!

You are welcome to private message me if you’ve got family-friendly ideas… 🙂

Anyone heading west on 400 should drop by Coolidge, KS. Should you need, we have stores east and west of cousin Eddies home town. Safe travels!

Can us losers who are not staying at the KOA still partake of the KOA restaurant or is it for KOAers only?

Also! Refurbed radiator is in (don’t concentrate too hard at the rest of her under the hood space, she’s shy) and Moose is ready to roll! Just have to catch the mouse that has taken up residence. 😑

We stayed in Ouray last year but still picked up dinner several evenings from the food truck in order to spend time with the rest of the group at the KOA. They were always happy to take our money and the food was delicious. I highly recommend supporting the food truck since they are willing to support our group.

It was really convenient too. They do a great breakfast taco.

I’m thinking about hiking up to the Dinosaur tracks above Ouray on early Wednesday with plans to be back in time for the picture. If anyone wants to join me for the hike you are welcome to come along. I will do a little more research on what we should expect out of the hike and share it when I know more.

I’d be interested for sure.
