We also have a promo code for anyone wishing to buy product at the event. 10% off your order through Sunday 8/11.

“ SAS8 “ Pomo Code

Wanted to remind the raffle winners to reach out and I can get you set-up with your gift certificate code as well.

Wish these had arrived in time for the event. But we just had some new hats arrive while I am at the event.

Hello Everyone,

I know everyone is in a hurry to be the early bird for next year. We will not be making reservations for anyone for SAS 9 until the all-clear is given by your amazing SAS staff. Once we have the dates locked in and they start waiving the flag we will start allowing reservations for 2025.

Thanks everyone.
Thank you so much for going the extra mile to make this event even more special than it already is. We can’t thank you and your staff enough. You have a great crew and we appreciate all of you.

Great meeting you and your son, Thomas. Thank you for the bourbon last night. Too bad our campfire got rained out, but it was great having a cigar under the canopy with new friends and old. Safe travels my friend. Hope to see you next year.

Well I made it home. THE KOOZIES ARE THE BEST! Took the backway home and there is a portion that is 3 miles of this. Opened a fresh beverage and gave it a true test. Only lost a quarter of it by the time I got through this crap. That koozie will never leave the 60.

We got a really early start this morning as we still had over 600 mi home.
My guardian angel was looking after us as my wife need to go to the bathroom and when I stopped I found this 😳
We had been rolling along at 75 and I couldn’t feel a thing wrong 😳

Whoever or whoever knows who won the 50% off KOA 5 day cabin stay plus the free SAS registration, please let me know!
Congrats to all those who won some sweet prizes!
Bump… Chris won the 100% off tent site but who won the 50% off cabin…. Anyone???

Just got back to NM and while it’s great to be “home” I am already preparing for next year.

That shot of the Brazos Cliffs gives you just a hint of the scale. About the only time to climb the main cliffs is the longest day of summer, when you need all the daylight you can get. A 1-1/2 hour approach and a 2-1/2 hour descent added to the 10 or 11 hours of roped climbing makes for a long, exhausting day.

The shorter cliffs on the right can be climbed during more of the year as they're a bit shorter. We had some great views during the climb in mid-September, with the aspens in full color. A friend and I climbed "The Wicked Ridge of the Wedge", on the right side of the photo, with the red/maroon spot near the top of the cliffs.

Thanks for hosting another great year!

4 years ago we came for SAS from Alabama and made it to Alamosa before we had turn back...

This year was our redemption year and we appreciate all the folks who put this event together. My wife and I tend to shy away from the groups but we still love the event.

We also had our carnage pics:
I had to re route a brake line and got a bit close to the header.. I had a pair of gloves and a long sleeve shirt, but still caught the skin! 😡

All week I fought a radiator... it was playing wack-a-mole... first rad cap, then hose, then pin holes on the welds.... I used JB weld, duct tape, bubble gum, and anything I could to keep it together.. and it got us home...

Thanks again!
