Doesn't buy enough space on it's own. Thought about it.
Could you use some flat metal strap to hold the ramps at 45* instead of 90* ? That along with removing the swing outs.
It looks like you on the trailer but just cant get the ramps up

The 40 is too close to the goose for comfort where it is currently sitting.

The ramps sit on plane with the deck when folded flat against the beaver.
I'm just going to extend off the back of the ramps when they are folded flat. Make a ladder essentially that sits on the ramps. Set the back tires on that. Possibly extend from there back down to the rear rail of the trailer at an angle to truss it up. Though I think that would be overkill being the back of the mini weighs not much. 🤷

Without laying it out and having actual measurements, I'm guessing a foot would get us enough space.

Just bring them all. That’s what we’re doing. 🤷‍♂️

My dilemma:
I have a sweet 40th Anniversary I could drive to honor the celebration of the 80.
I also have a nice FJ43 I wanted to drive until I heard about the celebration. I guess it would be okay to leave the 80 at home? 🤔
Who else is driving their FJ43 to the SAS?
@devo looking forward to having you join us. Seems so many have the same issue of “which truck to bring”…hard decisions to make so I’ll take this opportunity to level set with the group so newer attendees understand. Not sure we’ve clarified this in the past, but when Casey, Tim and I started this event 7 years ago the goal was that any individual registered would bring one truck. Included with that registration would be unlimited family members and friends. If the friends wanted to bring their truck they would need to be registered. Some will note that we have vendors with multiple participants and vehicles. As long as they work with/for that vendor it’s 100% of the plan. Those that were there for SAS7 noticed things were a bit crazy as we had a lot more folks in attendance (IE…the raffle) than actual registered participants/family. Our goal is to keep this event at a “grass roots” level and not large like others around the country. Another note for everyone attending is we will be issuing arm bands this year to identify registrants and supporting vendors. Not policing (we are utilizing public’s land) but rather managing the group we have responsibility for. Something else not shared recently is if you decide to bring a pet, it’s highly advised that your dog (or any other pet choice) is managed to the point it does not cause a disturbance to those in attendance. For example…if your pup has an issue with barking uncontrollably and you can’t contain him/her, it would be better left behind. No different than a family member that can’t be managed :). Please note this is not directed at you but I saw an opportunity to address the group based on your posted question/concerns. Just some quick housekeeping work.

I'd also like to add that the plan for Raffle and group photo will be on Wednesday as usual. However, we will be monitoring the weather much closer and if there is a chance for heavy rain again we will postpone to Thursday if required. Don't want people left out if the rain is heavy.
Thanks, Casey...

Here's the TL/DR version of what Jimmy said:

1 registration = 1 truck with passengers

1 registration does not mean invite your friends/club/etc. with their trucks. Each truck and driver needs to be registered.

I can't thank ya'll enough for registering for SAS 8. We sold out in 5 hours this year and it's truly humbling.
We are planning several additions this year. We want to get the ladies out on the trail this year with a Ladie's run. Will have something special for the Kiddo's one day also.
If you guys think of something that would make your week more enjoyable we are open to suggestions. Please feel free to share your thoughts.
Thanks, Casey..

Something we gave heavy consideration to was dropping the # of registrants to 50 this year in an attempt to "reset" back to a manageable crowd. Recognizing we get more and more new attendees each year we chose not to do this in order to make room for folks to attend. As a result, this is why we are going to armbands and looking to manage the herd of cruiser lovers as well as logistics a bit closer.

Thanks for keeping the # where they are. And armband is a fair trade.

Maybe a matching tow strap for the rigs?

Thanks for all you do to make this happen. It’s too easy to be excited for this and overlook what it took to get here!

We'll have a newborn this year so not going to make it this time. Next year will be there.

Man, all these pictures you guys are posting are building my excitement - making it so hard to wait. Such beautiful scenery.

One of my all time favorites. Taken by our good friend and photography Pro Chris "The Beared Wonder" Dickenson. @cdphotog
This is the summit of Stoney Pass looking West as we head towards Silverton during SAS 6.
Splash pic was Epic!
