My dilemma:
I have a sweet 40th Anniversary I could drive to honor the celebration of the 80.
I also have a nice FJ43 I wanted to drive until I heard about the celebration. I guess it would be okay to leave the 80 at home? 🤔
Who else is driving their FJ43 to the SAS?
Depends on the drive distance…. A 40 series wasn’t built for cross-country comfort (been there, done that…)
But that said, not much else tops driving a 40 series in the San Juan’s with a bunch of other 40’s 👍)

I'll be in my 40 once again.

Gotta figure out how to make this clustertruck work.

After sapping both front RCV axles just inside the cage in the Birfild last year on Fordyce trial, it's finally back together

Man, I've been looking forward to doing this all throughout my deployment, but somehow I missed the registration. Hopefully, the waitlist will clear up fast (fingers crossed). I am hoping to take either the 40 or the Hilux this year, Big Red struggled over 8000ft. I might have my wife bring the Tacoma for parts and camping gear.

Dan says make some ramps and put the 40 up the tongue. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Thought about that. I have a fantasy of putting the camping trailer on top of the hitch. No clue if that will work without a forklift though.

I think my current plan is to weld up something that sits on the ramps when they are folded up and fastens the ramps down to the beavertail while extending off the back.

Then weld up a ramp, to go to the ramp that's bolted to the actual ramp. 😆

The back of that mini truck doesn't weigh anything. Heck the whole thing is only 2500#.

The simple solution is to buy a bigger flatbed with a hydraulic beaver. But I really don't want a larger trailer.
