Someone say Convoy?

I'd love to, but we can't leave GA until Saturday morning so no way to make it unless you've invented a transporter.
What the heck! I thought your truck had a turbo on it?

Back in May when the fam was in Houston, I strategically labelled the plethora of wires and accessories to get access and remove the intake manifold of the 5.7 vortec motor in my FJ40 to replace the lower intake manifold gasket ,(Fell- pro gasket upgrade !) that can be a problem in these motors. Coolant was leaking slowly outside and inside the motor(only a few drops were found at oil change) good synthetic oil was my savior there, I am using Amsoil XL ,the best if you ask me. Vortec is running great now!
Then last month I upgraded the rear leaf springs with new Old Man Emu heavy duty springs and bushings, gaining 3" of lift for those big loads. Our trip to Death valley in the "Forty for four" back in Feb. killed the stock springs, 2nd to the bottom leaf was broken on both sides! Everyone will be able to read all about it in the next (Sept/ Oct. ) issue of Toyota Trails.
Going through the preventative maintenance list now, Packing is next! So excited!🤑:bounce:

Can't wait to read the article! And I can personally attest to the leaf spring issues (from one of my earlier posts):

"Did nothing to either of mine, went to the Grand Canyon instead. But the trip gave me a chance to do something to someone else's Land Cruiser - overtake it westbound on I-40! @mesa man @Mesa Woman"

That's just too easy CD. Like replacing a fuse.

Yea a BFF 😁.

I am usually in the work harder camp. Took the work smarter route for a change. @Tools R Us gave the original factory unit its last rights. As a padawan me listened.

Watch who you're talking to on the CB going down the highway...

Joy Ride!

Edit - Does anyone have Brake Line 90947-02933? One of the rear axle lines. Talked to my local dealer they said 1 week, Cruiser Outfitters doesn't have it in stock either... or can someone confirm if 96940-34705 replaces 90947-02933?

Any leads possibly? @POTATO LAUNCHER @dogfishlake

Year and model? NAPA has good quality brake lines specific for Land Cruisers.

If it's on your 80 the ends are 10mm x1.0 pitch. If you find a parts guy and not a button pusher you can get one that works.

Cutting it close... Still plenty left to do, but it's looking like the 40 will make it out.
