The light on this one… diffuse yet hard. Love it.

I know I loved it too. That 80mm CB lens is mega sharp. Alot of people bash it for having one less element but all I have noticed is it vignettes a hair more in the corners on 6x6 maybe a hair less sharp in the corners on 6x6 but side by side with a CF 80mm I cant tell a difference. I did use the digital cfv and added a little vignette to this one but everything else is natural. The light on this one… diffuse yet hard. Love it.

Well put! I tend to enjoy using the older less corrected stuff anyway and even more so on digital because it just makes it look more unique in its rendering. Can’t fake good light.
Edge to edge sharpness has its place, but generally, the subject isn’t in the corner.
This is so very true. with film its the only reason I still put up with the crazy cost of it now. I have a couple of Rb67 lenses that a friend gave me along with a broken crusty rb67. Long story short it smelled like boat bulge and diesel so much so I let the camera sit outside on the back porch for a month. I think they had it on a sailboat or somthing. The lenses are clean without fungus though. what adapter did you use?I have an adapter for my RZ67 lenses to my Nikons, it is a very unique look. I’ve adapted all sorts of lenses for digital to achieve certain results.
Prefer getting the shot as much in camera as possible. That’s why I love LF film still.
The image is crafted rather than taken.
This one (or an older version anyway). It’s a bit fussy but the results are worth it.This is so very true. with film its the only reason I still put up with the crazy cost of it now. Did you get a timing light you were asking about a few months ago? I use my timing light tach for lean dropIn addition to an electronic tach so I can do an effective lean drop.
No I borrowed one from a local shop. I should have bought one though. I ended up buying recently a cheeper digital tac because I already have a timing light. It should be in tomorow and I will report back.Did you get a timing light you were asking about a few months ago? I use my timing light tach for lean drop
