I am looking at a 2009 Land Cruiser and it looks like rust may have gotten a hold of the frame, but I'm not versed enough to know for sure. Anyone let me know from the pics of any real issues to the undercarriage besides just surface rust?

Not great, but not too bad. Get a look at the KDSS screws if you can.
Excellent bunch of photos. Looks like some parts may have been replaced already, like some related to alignment. There is some paint covering some bad areas. I think there are missing under covers on the front that may have rusted away, but I’m not familiar with the ‘09. I think overall this looks pretty bad for rust, but depending on your plans for it and the price, it may be something to consider. If you go ahead, plan on lots of extra cost for parts and labor for even regular maintenance (like is the rear diff fill plug removable?) let alone adding any mods.

It has 180K miles and they want 27K for it which I thought was high before I saw the photos of the undercarriage. I will definitely be considering the cost of parts, labor, and any mods that I wanted to do.
Coming from the 60 series forum (40 year old vehicles) we’d say that the undercarriage on this 200 looks great. Just a little orange/red patina. Nothing structural... yet.
But if it’s let to take it’s course, the rust will accelerate much faster now because there’s lots of unpainted parts that are starting to rust.
With a lot of enthusiasm and energy, a guy could get the undercarriage looking good in several weekends, working under the vehicle, but it’s not fun work.

If it were me, I would move on to the next one. Not worth the risk of having to fix things you can't see that are hiding in hard to see spots.
